Alderman Wheeler moved that the resolution be adopted. Frisco The motion was seconded by Alderman Thomas and passed unanimously where upon the Mayor declared the R. R. Co, resolution adopted. RESOLUTION N0. 4 45 ResolutionWHEREAS, The Water Department is construction a six inch water main from the twelve inch main froom the no. 445 twelve inch main on Sixth Street South on Paris Avenue to_provide adequate water service and fire protection for a new rest home under construction, and WHEREAS, it is necessary to cross under the spur back of the St. Louis and San Francisco Railway Company on Paris Avenue with this six inch water main and that before doing so, it is necessary to enter into a Pipe Line Contract with said railway. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS: That the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to execute a Pipe Line Contract with the St. Louis and San Francisco Railway Company in the name of the City of Fayetteviihle,,Arkaneas for the abov a Pipe Line crossing and that the Water Department be authorized to pay to said Railway Company $25.00 as a one time payment ofr this contract. 7 AND APPROVED THIS 15 the day of March, 1965. The motion was Seconded by Alderman Burgin and passed unanimously. . Parker Alderman Christie then moved to appoint Mandred V. Parker Jr. as Supertendent of the Street Department.at ployed the same salery as he is drawing at the present time. . Supt. The motion was seconded by Alderman Thomas and passed unanimously. Since the City o.mes a large tract of real estate at Lake.Sequoyah along Highway petition 16 East the property owners had requested that the Ciby authorize the Mayor and the City Clerk to sign th annex, patition in behalf of the City. After a long discussion, Alderman Burgan moved that the Mayor and City Clerk be and they are hereby auth- orized to sign the petition for annexiation of property along Highway 16 East to the City of Fayetteville Arkansas. �_ The motion was seconded by Alderman Watson and upon roll call the following vote was recorded, "AYE" Hefl, Christie, Watson, Wheeler, Burgin, Faucette. "HAY" Short. "ABSTAINING" Tromas. There being six "Ayes", One "Nay", and One "Abstaining", the Mayor declared the motion passed, being no further bus'ness, Alderman Thomas moved to adjourn.
