Xmas Bonus Alderman Short moved that the City Controller be authorized to issue a bonus check of Twenty Five($25.00) Checks Dollars to each of the City Employees who have been working more than 12 months;and Ten($10.00) Dollars �to each of theme City Employees who have been working less than 12 months, as has been done for the past several years. Strong, manager of Royal Crown Cola Co. wno also appeared in sanitation person, protesting the sanitation rates for his plant. There being only 4 "Ayes" with three "Nays" and one "Abstaining", the Mayor declared the motion to suspen he rule was defeated for lack of a two -third majority vote (which was six votes), being no further business, Alderman Christie moved to adjourn. The motion was seconded by Alderman and passed unanimously, whereupon the Mayor declared the meeting adjourned. Resolution RESOLUTION N0. 2-65 2-65 A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE UNIVERSITY OF ARKANSAS RAZORBACKS THE NUMBER ONE TEAM IN THE NATION AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO PROCLAIM THE WEEK OF JANUARY 4 1965, RAZORBACK WEEK. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. That the University of Arkansas Razorback football team be and the same is hereby de- clared to be the number one team in the nation. SECTION 2. That the Mayor of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas,is hereby authorized and empowered to proclaim the week commending January 4, 1965, as "RAZORBACK WEEK" in recognition of the outstanding achievement of said team and its coach.
