Caudle, husband and wife, had fulfilled the requirements of a sub -division contract on the Caudle Subdivision and had repeated they be released from the contract. Alderman Christie moved that the City Clerk be authorized to execute a release deed for the Caudle sub- division. The motion was seconded by Alderman Heflin and passed unanimously. Several'citizens residing on 7th Street appeared before the Council protesting the routing of trucks over 7th St. between Locust Ave. and Wood Ave. A very long discussion wqs held but no further action was definitely taken at this time. Alderman Heflin reported that bids had been taken for a car to be used by the Sanitation Superintendent and that the one given by Lewis Ford Sales Inc., in the total amount of $2080.12 was the low bid. After a brief discussion, Alderman Heflin moved to accept the low bid o f Lewis.Ford Sales, Inc. in the total atrount of $2080.12 and purchase a 1965 Fairlane Tudoor Sedan. The motion.was seconded by Alderman Thomas and passed unanimously. There being no further business, Alderman Heflin i:oved to adjourn, The motion was seconded by Alderman Short and passed unanimously, whereupon the Mayor dedlared the adjourned.
