13-64 I BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, to -wit:
SECTION 1. That if Suburban Water Improvement District No. 7 be dissolved within a period of thirt
(30) days from the date of this resolution, and if said District agrees to a recision of the Contract
between the City and said District which is now in existence, the City would be agreeable to contracting,
for the sale of water to a new District to be formed within the near future, under the same general
terms as the original contract between said parties.
SECTION 2. That the above provisions are conditional of the annexation to the City of certain property
adjacent to the present City limits on the East. It is further understood that the City shall not be
obligated to supply water to the new district until such time as the City determines that sufficient water

Police Members of the City Council
Upon occupying the new Police Facilities there will be an added responsibility of feeding the prisoners
and also the keeping of the jail.
It is my recommendation this responsibility be channelled through one individual. For this I am asking
you to make a rank of Corporal within the department with an additional salary of ten -dollars ($10.00)
per month. The Officer for this rank to be selected by the Civil Service Commission and approved by the
Chief of Police. The new rank to become effective July 11 1964.

Extensions After a brief duscussion, Alderman Wheeler moved to accept the recommendation of Consulting Engineer
J.E. McClaand and award the contract to C &. H General Contractors, Fayetteville, Arkansas, upon the
approval of the contract by the Consulting Engineer, approval and payment of the performance bond, and -
evidence of proper ipsurance, and that the Mayor and City Clerk be and they are hereby authorized to
execute the contract as approved.
The motion was seconded by Alderman Thomas and passed unanimous.

And that he also had a letter from the Arkansas Western Gas Company and tge Southwestern Electric Power
Company, stating they had no objection to the vacating of this alley. There being no objection,

The motion was seconded by Alderman Short and passed unanimously. The ordinance was then read for the
