After a brief discussion, Alderman Christie moved to purchase the Ford Tractor from the
Hailey Sales Co. for the sum of $3,087,50 plus sales tax of $92.63 less a tradein of the
old tractor of $1,100.00 making a net cost to the City of $2,080.13.
The motion was seconded by Alderman Smith and passed unanimosly.

The Mayor reported that the purpose of the meeting was to discuss the purchase of some

He further reported that all members of the Council had been notified by U. S. Mail but

waived notice of the meeting.
WAIVER OF NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING
Comes now the undersigned, being a duly elected, qualified, and acting member of the
City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, and specifically waives notice of a
special meeting of the Fayetteville City Council to be held in the City Council Room of
the City Administration Building, Fayetteville, Arkansas, at 7:30 Blalock P.M. CST,
on Friday, June 2, 1961.
