Washington County Court to the present corporate limits of the City of Fayetteville,
Arkansas all the territory described in Ordinance No. 1246, less and except that
territory heretofore annexed by said Order of the Washington County Court to the Town
of Greenland,Arkansas.
The motion was seconded by Alderman Hatfield and upon roll call the following vote was
recorded: "Aye" Barnhart, Lunsford, Hatfield, Kent, and Walker. "Nay" None.
"Abstaining" Smith.
There being five "Ayes" and no "Nays" with only one "Abstaining", the Mayor declared
the motion passed.

The minutes of the regular meeting on Monday, November 28, 1960, and of the special
session on Friday, December 2, 1960, were read and approved'.
City At The City Attorney reported that the Washington County Judge , on December 3, 1960, enter

set for hearing in the Washington County Court.

The City Clerk presented a plat which was a replat of Lots 4-11 and Lots 15-27 of East
Mountain Addition to the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, which had been approved by the -
Planning Cossion and the City Engineer.
The Cityn iM introduced and read in its entirety for the first time a proposed ordin-
ance entitled, "AN ORDINANCE TO ACCEPT AND CONFIRM THE DEDICATION OF ALL•,STREETS, ALLEYS
AND EASEMENTS IN A REPLAT OF LOTS 4-11 AND LOTS 15-27 OF EAST MOUNTAIN ADDITION TO THE
CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS".
After a brief discussion, the Mayor appointed a special committee to study this plat in
regard to the.Subdivision Regulations. '
Alderman Smith then moved to refer this plat back to the Planning Commission and the
Special Committee for further study and report.
The motion was seconded by Alderman Kent and passed unanimously.
Alderman McClelland introduced and read a proposed ordinance in its entirety, entitled:
"AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING DUCK AND GOOSE HUNTING ON THE CITY WATER SUPPLY RESERVOIRS AN
OR LAKES; PROVIDING FOR THE PROMULGATION OF RULES AND REGULATIONS; AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES".

AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING DUCK AND GOOSE HUNTING ON THE CITY WATER SUPPLY RESERVOIRS
AND/OR LAKES; PROVIDING FOR THE PROMULGATION OF RULES AND REGULATIONS; AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. Subject to the rules and regulations to be adopted in the manner here-
inafterer sei�orth, it shall be lawful to hunt ducks and geese in the City reservoirs usi
for water supply in Washington County, Arkansas,
Section 2. Hunting for ducks and geese on said Lakes, shall be permitted at the t
and in the manner hereafter authorized by motion oP.resolution of the City Council of
the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, having due regard for the rules and regulations of
Board of Health of the State of Arkansas and of the recommendations of the Arkansas St
Game and Fish Commission, the Federal and State Game Laws.
Section 3. The City of Fayetteville from time to time shall by resolution or motiol
promulgate all necessary rules and regulations in connection with the use of said Lakes
for hunting ducks and geese and all necessary rules and regulations with respect to the
time hunting may be permitted and the methods which hunting may be permitted on said
Lakes, and to provide such other rules and regulations in connection with hunting actio•
ities on said Lakes as may from time to time be desirable, including the fixing of per-
mit fees and such other matters and things as the City of Fayetteville may deem advisab:

3. Season: The hunting season shall conform to Federal and State Laws governing th
hunting of ducks and geese, except that no hunting is permitted on Sunday.
4. Hours: The hours'in which ducks and geese may be hunted shall conform to Federal
and State maws, except that no hunting will be permitted after 12:00 o'clock Noon, each
day.
5. Persons authorized. Any person 16 years old and older are authorized to hunt
providing they have all necessary permits, licenses and authorizations required in advance
of hunting, except that if in the judgment of the lake operators, a person appears to be
under the influence of intoxicants or is physically incompetent, a person may be denied
to hunt on the City Premises.
6. City Permit Required. In addition to Federal and State permits, licenses, etc.,
required, each person s required to secure a City Permit on the preceding day before
hunting. TFaity Permit for each person hunting shall be good for one day, only, and
shall be $1.00 peter da , and may be secured from the offices at the lakes.

11. Sanitation on Lake Areas. Keeping in mind the purpose for which the lakes were con-
structed and are being used for, the strictest rules shall be observed in preventing
unsanitary conditions to develop on the shores and in the water of these lakes.
No debris, cans,'bottles, trash, and other matter shall be deposited in the water or on
the property of the City. All State Health Department Regulations governing water suppl
reservoirs shall be strictly observed.
12. Safety Rules. All persons hunting shall use diligent rules governing safety and sha

13. Revoking Permits. The City of Fayetteville reserves the right to revoke any permit
when by the action of any person holding a permit in which it is clearly demonstrated
that said person wilfully and purposely violated any of these rules and regulations.
When a permit is revoked, no refund will be due the holder of the permit.

y1254 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING TERRITORY ANNEXED TO.THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS, ASSIGNIN
SAID TERRITORY TO WARDS AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the County Court of Washington County, Arkansas, did on December 10, 19600
make an order annexing the following described territory to the City of Fayetteville,
Arkansas, to -wit:
A part of the North half(N2) of the Northeast Quarter (NE4) of Section Twenty-nine
(29), Township Sixteen (16) North of Range Thirty (30) West, described as follows,
to -wit: Beginning at a point 305.6 feet West of the Northeast corner of the North-
west Quarter (NWT) of the Northeast Quarter (Mt) of said Section Twenty-nine(29)
and running, thence West 511.2 feet to the East line of the Cato Springs Road,
thence South 44.3 feet, thence South 14 degrees 36 minutes (140 36"):West 499.1 fee

Alderman McClelland reported that the Water Committee had recommended that the City
rant a License Agreement to Chester Leonard on the Bowen Property purchased by the
