ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS":
Alderman Smith moved that the Ordinance pass. The motion was seconded by Alderman Walker
and passed unanimously, whereupon the Mayor deelardd the Ordinance passed.

AN ORDINANCE TO ACCEPT AND CONFIRM THE DEDICATION OF ALL STREETS, ALLEYS AND EASEMENT'S
IN GARNER-LARIMORE ADDITION TO THE CITY OF,FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, there has been duly presented to the City Council of the City of Fayette-
ville, Arkansas, a plat dated December, 1959, known as Garner-Larimore Addition to the
City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, and being a part of the West half of the Northeast Quar-
ter of Section 8, Township 16 North, Range 30 West of the Fifth Principal Meridian, by
which the owners of the platted real estate have dedicated for the public use the streets,;
alleys, and easements shown upon said plat; and
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, has
recommended the acceptance of said plat.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE,
ARKANSAS:
Section 1. That the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, hereby accepts and confirms the
dedication of all streets, alleys, and easements, dedicated in Garner-Larimore Addition
to the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, and hereby declares said streets, alleys and
easements, to be public streets, alleys, and easements, and the said City Council hereby
assumes the care, control and jurisdiction of the same.
Section 2. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in force and effect from
and after its passage, approval and publication,

The Building Inspector reported that under the provisions of the adopted Major Street
Mountaim
Plan, he could not issue a Building Permit for this building,since it encroached upon
Inn.
College Avenue, unless the Resolution was amended whereby he could waiver the Major
Street Plan in the Block between Mountain Street and Center Street.
After a long discussion, Alderman Burgin moved to authorize the Building Inspector to
issue a Building Permit for the proposed new Mountain Inn Building according to plans.

eliminate any projections beyond the present property lines at their own expense should
the Arkansas Highway Department require such change in order to widen Highway No. 71:

Alderman Smith mwved that the Ordinance be passed.
The motion was seconded by Alderman Walker and passed unanimously, whereupon the Mayor
declared the Ordinance passed.

for study and recommendation as to the amending of the Zoning Regulations.
Section 6. Parkin Time Limits. (a) Parking or standing a vehicle in a designated
space in a parking meter facirlity hall be lawful for twelve (12) minutes upon deposit
a one cent coin, twenty-four (24) minutes upon the deposit of two (2) one cent coins,
thirty-six (36) minutes upon the deposit of three (3) one -cent coins, forty-eight (48)
minutes upon the deposit of four one cent coins, or sixty (60) minutes upon the deposit
of five (5) one -cent coins or one (1) five cent coin of the United States. of America;
such parking shall also be lawful for like periods of time for certain designated parki:
meters from one (1) hour to ten(10) hours, inclusive, upon depositing the necessary
amount of coins, either nickels or quarters, required for the amount of parking time
desired at the aforesaid rates of five (5) cents per hour.
(b) Said parking meters shall be operated in said parking meter facilities every d
between the hours of eight o'clock A.M. and six o'clock P.M., except Sundays and legal
holidays; provided however that parking meters in said parking meter facilities located
near the intersection of Gregg A enue and Dickson Street shall be operated emery day
between the hours of eight o'clock A.M. and Nine o'clock P.M., except Sundays and legal
holidays, and parking or standing a vehicle at said parking meter facility shall be law
ful for sixty(60) minutes upon the deposit of one(1) five cent coin of the United State
of America and such parking shall also be lawful for six(6) hours upon the deposit of
one quarter coin of the United States of America.
SECTION 2. That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed, and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after i
passage and approval.

The Mayor reported that Mr. Loris Stanton had resigned from the Board of Adjustment and
he recommended that Mr. Tom Schiewetz, manager of Standard Register Co., to fill this
vacancy.
Alderman Kent moved to accept the recommendation of the Mayor and appoint Mr. Tom
Schiewetz as a member of the Board of Adjustment in the place of Loris Stanton, resignedl.
The motion was seconded by Alderman Smith and passed unanimously.

Alderman Barnhart reported that the Building Committee had recommended that the City
Engineer be authorized to construct theetitions, ceiling, electrical wiring and fixtures,
and other necessary improvements in the Uity Administration Building at an estimLted cot
of $9,355.00.
Alderman Barnhart then moved to accept the recommendation of the Building Committee and
authorize the City Engineer to make the necessary improvements outlined above in the
City Administration Building at an estimated cost of $9,355.00.
The motion was seconded by Alderman Smith and passed unanimously.
There being no further business, the Mayor declared the meeting adjourned.
