AYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, there has been duly presented to the City Council of the City of Fayetteville,
Arkansas, a replat of Block 1 and part of Block 69 Jackson's First Addition to the City of
Fayetteville, Arkansas, dated May 1959,by which the owners of the replatted real estate
have dedicated for the public use the streets, alleys, and easements- shown upon said
replat; and
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, has
recommended the acceptance of said plat.
NOW:, THEREFORE, -BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE,
ARKANSAS:
Section 1.,..That the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, hereby accepts and confirms the

Bill Ijurphy Attorney J. W. Murphy appeared before the Council in behalf of the City of West Fork and
appeared arranged al.meeting of the West Fork Council and the Fayetteville Water Committee, City
before Council Engineer, and City Attorney on Monday, July 20, 1959, to discuss the possibility of the
Re. water City of West Fork purchasing their water supply from the City of Fayetteville, and the

West Fork. Mr. William C, Myers and others appeared before the Council with a petition requesting

Wilson -Adams Addition to be properly covered for the protection of the general public.
After a brief discussion, Alderman Smith moved to refer this to the Police Committee and
City Attorney for study and recommendation.

Antl-Noise The Mayor presented a petition signed by several citizens requesting the Council to pass
Ordinance an ordinance prohibiting the use of loud speakers and the playing of outside music boxes
proposed. etc.
After a brief discussion, Alderman Burgin moved to refer this to the Ordinance Committee
to prepare an Anti -Noise Ordinance.
The motion was seconded by Alderman Lunsford and passed unanimously.

Plat for The City Clerk presented a plat for an addition to the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas,
McRael to be known as the McRae Addition, which had been approved by the City Planning Commissi

IN Mc RAE ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, there has been duly presented to the City Council of the City of Fayette-
ville, Arkansas, a plat dated May 14, 1959, known as McRae Addition to the City of Fay-
etteville, Arkansas, and being a part of the Southwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter,
Section 17, Township 16 North, Range 30 West of the Fifth Principal Meridian, by which
the owners of the platted real estate have dedicated for the public use the streets,
alleys, and easements shown upon said plat; and
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, has
recommended the acceptance of said plat.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE,
ARKANSAS:
Section.l. That the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, hereby accepts and confirms the

Alderman Burgin moved to accept the recommendation of the Board of Public Affairs and
purchase the two new pickup trucks and the two new Two -Way Radios as outlined above.
The motion was seconded by Alderman Lunsford and upon�toll-call the following vote was
recorded: "Aye" Barnhart, Smith, Burgin, Lunsford, McClelland, Hatfield, and Walker.,
"Nay" None."Not voting" Kent.
There being -seven "Ayes" and No "Nays", with one not voting, the Mayor declared the

Session at 7:30 P.M.
Present: Mayor J. Austin Parish, City Clerk George J. Davis, City Controller Albert J.
Jones, City Attorney A. D. McAllister Jr., and Aldermen: Lynn Smith, Bruce Lunsford,
J. E. McClellans, Herbert Hatfield, Dale Kent, and Bryan Walker.
Absent: Aldermen Ralph Barnhart and Ellis Burgin.
Purpose ofThe Mayor reported that the ,purpose of the meeting was to present the situation of the
Meeti Planning Commission to the Uouncil and that all members of the douncil had been notified
Tby U. S. Mail and by telephone but Aldermen Ralph Barnhart and Ellis Burgin could not
he present and had waived notice of the meeting.
A long discussion was held between the City Council, Members of the City Planning
Commission,and State Representative Charles Stewart concerning the Master Planning Prog-
ram, Powers of the Planning Commission under the State Law, and the relationship between
the Planning Commission and the City Council but no action was taken.
There being no further business, Aldermen Hatfield moved to adjourn. The motion was
seconded by Alderman Kent and passed unanimously, vhereupon the Mayor declared the
meeting adjourned.
