Austin Parish, City Clerk George J. Davis, City Controller Albert J. Jones, City Attorney A. D. McAllister Jr., City Engineer W. C. Smith, Fire Chief Burl Skelton, and Aldermen: Smith, Burgin, Lunsford, McClelland, Kent, and Walker. Absent: Chief of Police Pearl Watts and Alderman Ralph Barnhart. Absent at roll call but ' later entering: Alderman Hatfield. The minutes of the regular session on Monday, May 119 1959, were read and approved. Engineer W. N. N. Holway and make an offer of AIp6,200.00 to the Ozarks Rural Electric Coop - I' erative Association to pay the cost of a voltage regulator and the relocating of the REA power lines around the new lake. The motion was seconded by Alderman McClelland and passed unanimously. Alderman Smith reported that a street light was needed on Vinson Avenue and that the St. Light Street and Street Lighting Committee recommended that a street light be placed on on Vnson Vinson Avenue at a point where Rebedda Street would intersect this Avenue. Ave. Alderman Lunsford moved that a street light be installed on Vinson Avenue as recommende by the Street and Street Lighting Committee. The motion was seconded by Alderman Kent and passed unanimously. Mr. & Mrs. J.K.Gregory The City Attorney presented a deed to a small tract of land located near the City Shop:; donate land Bolding, which Mr. and Mrs. J. K. Gregory, owners of said tract, offered to donate to to City near the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas. City Shop. Alderman Walker moved to accept the deed and to authorize the Mayor to write a letter o thanks and appreciation to Mr. & Mrs. J. K. Gregory for this property. Crist reported that a complete tabulation of the bids showed the low bid for the Sewer Lift Stations and Sewage Treatment Facilities to be the one by Tune Construction Co., Fayetteville, Arkansas, in the total sum of $439,600.002 he recommended the contract be awarded to Tune Construction Co.,for that amount. Alderman Smith than moved to accept the bid of the Tune Construction Co:, Fayetteville,6 Arkansas, in total amount of $4392600.00 for bothethe Sewer Lift Stations and the Sewage Treatment Facilities, and that the Mayor and City Clerk be and they are hereby authorize to execute said contract, subject to the approval of the U. S. Department of Health, upo the acceptance of the Performance Bond by the City Attorney and the presentation of evidence of proper insurance. The motion was seconded by Alderman Burgin and upon roll call the following vote was recorded: "Aye" Smith, Burgin, McClelland, Hatfield; Kent, and Talker. "Nay" None. Not voting, Alderman Lunsford.
