Davis, City Controller Albert J. Jones, City Attorney A. D. McAllister Jr., City Engineer W. C. Smith, Fire Chief Burl Skelton, and Aldermen: Smith, Burgin, Lunsford, McClelland, Kent, and Walker. Absent: Chief of Police Pearl Watts and Alderman Ralph Barnhart. Absent at roll call but later entering: Alderman Hatfield. The minutes of the regular session on Monday, May 11, 1959, were read and approved. Engineer W. N. Holway appeared before the Council and reported there was about 03800.00 Proposal difference between the Engineers estimate on the cost of relocating the REA power lines to thel REA around the new lake and the estimate of the REA. of $$6200. He reported that the engineers had estimated the cost of this project to be approximatel to pay cost $p6,20O.0O while the REA had estimated it would cost approximately $109000.00 and he of relocating recommended that the City Council make an offer to the REA of $p6,2OO.00 to pay for this poowweere line, project. (� After a brief discussion, Alderman Lunsford moved to accApt the recommendation of Engineer W. N. Holway and make an offer of '06,2OO.00 to the Ozarks Rural Electric Coop- I� erative Association to pay the cost of a voltage regulator ana the relocating of the REA power lines around the new lake. The motion was seconded by Alderman McClelland and passed unanimously. Alderman Smith reported that a street light was needed on Vinson Avenue and that the St. Light Street and Street Lighting Committee recommended that a street light be placed on on Vinson Vinson Avenue at a point where Rebedda Street would intersect this Avenue. Ave. Alderman Lunsford moved that a street light be installed on Vinson Avenue as recommended by the Street and Street Lighting Committee. The motion was seconded by Alderman Kent and passed unanimously. Mr. & Mrs. J.K.Gregory The City Attorney presented a deed to a small tract of land located near the City Shop!, donate land Btilding, which Mr. and Mrs. J. K. Gregory, owners of said tract, offered to donate to to City near the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas. City Shop. Alderman Walker moved to accept the deed and to authorize -the Mayor to write a letter of thanks and appreciation to Mr. & Mrs. J. K. Gregory for this property. The motion was seconded by Alderman Hatfield'and passed unanimously. Plans & Spec. Engineers John Mahaffey and L. M; McGoodwin appeared before the Council and presented approved for completed plans and specifications on the second and last section of Water Main Extens- second and ions of the 1958 Water and Sewer Expansion Project, last phase of Alderman Smith moved to approve the plans and specifications on the second and last Water Main section of Water Main Extensions as presented by Consulting Engineers Mahaffey and Extensions.
