Sanitation Eng. Alderman Richardson made a motion that the Sanitation Committee be authorized to make a:: a study of the Sanitation rates and make recommendation to the Couhcil, this motion was seconded by Alderman Lunsford, and was passed unanimously. Mr.Pete Estes appeared before the Council with a Petition for Permit `OI,Opgrate L•mousine Service to the Airport, Petition being as follows: Petition for a permit TO THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL p OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE to perate PETITION FOR PERMIT TO OPERATE LIMOUSINE SERVICE TO TIME AIRPORP: limousine Comes Sam Word, Secretary -Treasurer and General Manager of American service -Drive-It Inc.,a corporation, and for his petition herein states and alleges as follows, to -Witt: That there is at presdnt no outstanding permit for such service now in existen e and that there has been no such service rendered since August, 1955. Petitioner further states that public convenience and necessity dictates that such a service be installed due to the increase in airline traffic and that Central Air Lines has, in writing, requested the City to issue the herein requested permit. Petitioner further states that he has a new automobile having sufficient seat capacity to meet the requirements of the ordinance regulating such operation and that h has said vehicle insured to the extent required in said ordinance and that he is ready, willing,and able to commence operation at once upon the issuance of a permit to operate s ame . WHEREFORE, petitioner prays that this body authorize the issuance to him or th corporation a permit for the immediate operation of such limousine service as is author ized by ordinance. The City Building Inspector presented the application for the Ben Franklin Store at 25 S.Block Ave., for a permit to install a metal Awning, Alderman Bissett made a motipn t' that permit No. 1937 be issued to the Ben Franklin Store,this motion was seconded by Ald r - man Bronson, and was passed unaniraoudly. Alderman Richardson reported that the bills had been approved by the Auditing Committee, and made a motion that they be aLlowed as approved, this motion was seconded by Alderman Alexander, and was passed unanimously.
