by Alderman Alexander, and was passed unanimously.
The Building Inspector presented the application of the Arkansas Western Gas C
or a permit -to remodel the Building just East -of their present building on East Center
Street, Alderman Lunsford made. a motion that Permit No.1929 be issmed to -the Ark.Western
his motion was seconded by Alderman Williams, and was passed unanimously.
The Mayor presented the report of the Board of Public Affairs on the bids sut
fitted for two patrol cars for the Police Department and one for the Fire Chief, the rept
tieing as follows:

Gentlemen:
3 Cars At your request we have received bids for furnishing three cars
two four door sedans to the Police Department, and one two door sedan to
the Fire Department.
We recommend acceptance and purchase of the low bid of Houston Taylor
Motor Co.for the two four door eight cylinder sedans for the Police Dept
ment in the amount'of Jil,921.08w7!t5h3 trade-in of the two patrol cars riow
in operation. and the low bid of of the Abshier-Bryan idotor Company for
furnid ng one two door eight cylinder Q'edan for the Fire Department in t
amount of '1,126.60 yii1th3 trade-in of the car now in use by the Fire Chie
All cars to be equipped with four ply nylon cord tires.

P.1derman Alexander made a motion that the recommendation of the Board of Public Affairs
e approved and the Mayor authobized to make the purchases in accordance with the recom-
endation of the Board of Public Affairs, this motion was seconded by Alderman Bronson,
end was passed unanimously.
The Mayor reported that the terms of iW.H.Pryor, Garland Wheeler andClayiYoe as
App int: r-rambers of the Planning Commission had expired, and that lie would like to re-appo�t them

Alderman Bronson made a motion that the appointments be approved, this motion was sec-
onded by Alderman Alexander, and was passed unanimously.
Alderman Richardson reported that the bills had been approved by the Auditing
ommittee, and made a motion that they be allowed, as approved, this motion was seconded
derman Alexander, and was passed unanimously.
( At this time Alderman Richardson was granted permission to leave, since he
not feeling well)

Phe City Attorney introduced a RESOLUTION authorizing the I4iayor and City Clerk to execute
QUIT CLAIh4 DEED to Lucile E.. Wesner,Alderman Alexander made a motion that the Resolution
•be adopted,this motion was seconded by Alderman 17illiams,. and was passed unanimously.

Wiesner grant dated July 292 1955, recorded in Deed Resord Book 481 at page 513 thereof in the
office of the Circuit Clerk and Ex -Officio Recorder for Washington County, Arkansas,and
executed and delivered by Lucile E,101esner to the City of Fayetteville,and that the Mayor
be and he is further directed to deliver said Quit -Claim Deed to Luuile E.Wesner or her
order upon receipt of _a duly executed easement for water,gas,and Sewer lines over and across
part of Parksdale Addition to the City of Fayetteville,Arkansas.

Sunset Hills The Ordinance was then read the second time, and after discussion, Alderman
Acd. Alexander made a motion that the rules be further suspended, and the Ordinance placed on its
third reading, this motion was seconded by Alderman Bronson, which was passed unanimously
The Ordinance was then read the third and final time.
The Mayor then put the question "Shall the Ordinance pass?", and on roll call by the Clerk,
he following vote was recorded: Ayes: Parish, Holland, Lunsford, VJilliams,Bissett, Bronson
End Alexander. Nays:None. Absent, and not voting: Richardson. And the Mayor declared the
rdinance passed, as there were 7 Ayes, and No Nays.
