Minutes of the SE1;C,IAb meeting of November, 16th. were read and approved. Petition Tlhe Petition of Ray.Adams,Nora B.Adams and Lonnie Shook was presented, asking that the East of ay Ad- Half of Blocks 7,8,9 and 10 in Ferguson's Addition be re -zoned from "C" Residential to he ams, Etal. "E" Commercial. Alderman Burge made a motion that the Petition be referred to thePlanning for re- Commission. this motion was seconded by Alderman Richardson, and was passed unanimously zmning by the Council. F The Plat of Shipley's Addition was presented, and Alderman Burge made a motion that Shipley the Plat be eferred to the Planning Commission, this motion was secohded'by Alderman Plat Alexander, and was passed unanimously by the Council G.M.Clark I A Petition signed by G.M.Clark, Karl Greenhaw;Donald T.King,Marjorie 0 Budd and Petition p.W.Blake was presented asking that the Block bounded an the North by West Dikson Street, to re- on the West by Buchanan Avenue,on the South by Williams Street, and on the East by Duncan zonle Avenue, be re -zoned from Classification "B" TO Classification "D" , Alderman Burge made a I m,otion that the Petition be referred to the Planning Commission, This motion was seconded bAlderman Williams, and was passed unanimously by the Council. 13- lq I WHEREAS,it appears -,,that the petition of Hugh Kincaid and Virgil B.Fieldpj to vac all that portion of an alley beginning ;at the Northwest corner of Bloc7< Eleven (11), in t City Park Addition as per recorded plat thereof, thence running East one hundred seventy (170) feet; thence North twenty (20) feet;thence West one hundred seventy (170) feet; the South twenty (20) feet, to the point of beginning,was filed with the City Clerk of the Ci of Fayetteville,Arkansas, on October 1219542 and The City Building Inspector presented the application of Ward Ice Cream Co for a permit at Block and Spring Streets, Alderman Alexander made a motion that Permit No. 1517 be issued to Ward Ice Cream Co., this motion -was seconded by Alderman Pratt, and was passed unanimously by the Council. T4}e City Attorney introduced a Resolution directibng the CiVy Clerk to publish of a hearing on the petition of Hugh Kincaid and Virgil Field, -to close am alley 11 of City Park Addition, Alderman Williams made a motion that the Resolution be d, this motion was:cseconded by Alderman Bura and was passed unanimously by the C, COPY OF -RESOLUTION NO. Z-54 WHEREAS, it appears that on November 1,1954 the City Council of the City of Fayet lle,Arkansas, duly passed a resolution fixing the 15th day of November,1954, for heari on said petition, and WHEREAS, notice of such hearing was duly published in the Northwest Arkansas Tim once a week for two consecutive weeks, and WHERERS, it- appears that certain property owners adjacent to thealley sought to vacated and not parties to the Original petition have now become parties to said petitio F 11HEREAS. it appears that the City Council did not meet in regular session on the original date fixed for hearing upon said petition. / NOWT HEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED: ` 1. That the 20th day of December,1954, at 7:30 O'clock, P.M., .in the Council Room of the City Admimistration Building, be and the same is hereby fixed as the time and plac for hearing upon said original petition as amended. 2. That the City Clerk of the City of Fayetteville,Arkansas, be and he is hereby directed to give notice of such hearing to all interested persons by publication thereof ones a week for two consecutive weeks in the Northwest Arkansas Times, a newspaper publis in Washington County, Arkansas, and having a general circulation in the City of Fayettevi Arkansas, 3. That the City Clerk of the City of Fayetteville,Arkansas, be and he is hereby d rected to cause an abstracter+s'certificate as to the record owners of the lots abutting upon said street or alley sought to be vacated, to be attached to said petition prior to the date set for hearing the reon. Alderman Richardson reported that the bills had been approved by the Auditing Committee, and made a motion that they be allowed as approved, this motion was seconded by Alderman Alexander and was passed unanimously by the Council.
