Absent :Aldermen: Hunt and Pratt. Representatives of the High School Civics Class, led by Jim Johnson,appeared befo he Council and asked that steps be taken to remedy & traffic hazard at the interesection est of the High School, after discussion, Alderman Heflin made a motion that 5 STOP SIGN e placed at the intersection of Virginia, Stone,Florida and Garland Streets, this'no� n econded by Alderman Kent and was passed unanimously by the Council. Alderman Richardson made a motion that Crider Bros, be given a 90 day notice to acate a strip of land 75 feet from the center of the runway through the land that they ave leased from the City, and to notify them that their lease on the balance of the 20 cres will not be renewed, seconded by Alderman Williams, and was passed unanimousy by.th The City Building Inspector presented the Applicatioh of T:Ianhatton Construction Co. cr a permit to erect a building for St.Paul's Episcopal Church at 224 North East Avenue, lderman Richardson made a motion that Permit No.1195 be issued to K.T.Hamilton for the hurch, this motion was seconded by Alderman Kent, and was passed unanimously by the Coun The City Building Inspector presented the application of Tom Eads for a Permit tp odel the Palace Theater, Alderman Burge made a motion that Permit No.1196 be issued to Eads, this motion was seconded by Alderman Kent, and was passed unanimously by the ncil.
