HomeMy WebLinkAbout1953-08-03 MinutesW A petition, signed by a number of property owners and citizens in the vicinity near,.where Petition i),he garbage is being buried, was read which protested the method of garbage disposal, the on method Mayor stated that the City had been using a bulldoser 'rented from R.A.Young & Son,and tha of garbage he condition had been greatly improved, he said that Mr Young was going to take the mach: disposal to Ft.Smith and have it overhauled and would returnit to Fayeettevile for the City to use on a ental basis until a deal could be worked out for the City to buy one, a letter from the StaBoard of Health was also read in which it was suggested that a bulldoser be used t� landfffFFill some of the material now being thrown on the dump as well as for the garbage. TIhe letter said the garbage disposal was inspected, and found to be satisfactory.
