Absent: Alderman Hunt. Engineers W.­R:Holtay of Holway and -Associates, and L.M.McGoodwin of Sullivan and S & McGoodwin were present, and W.R.Holway presented the plans and specification and estimate IFI- �f cost for construction of contract 2. Mt.Sequoyah Filtration Plant,and after discussion, ONS ((Alderman Williams made a motion that the plans and specifications and estimate of cost ved be approved, and the City Clerk be authorized to publish notice for two consecutive weeks in the Northwest Arkansas Times for bids on General Contract Filter Plant, and Electrical installations. Bids to be opened at the Council meeting to be held at 1:30 O'Clock, P.M.1 Fuesday, May 12th, 1953. This motion was seconded by Alderman Pratt, and was passed unani- pnously by the Council. The Ordinance was read in its entirety by the City Attorney, Alderman Burge ade a motion that the rules be suspended and the Ordinance placed on its second readinl his motion was seconded by Alderman Williams, and was passed unanimously by the Counci= The City Attorney then read the Ordinance the Second time, and after discuss derman Williams made a motion that the rules be further suspended and the Ordinance p its third and final reading, this motian was seconded by Alderman Pratt, and was pas animously by the Council. , City Attorney then read the Ordinance the third and final time. The Mayor then put the question "Shall the Ordinance pass'?, and on roll call by the Clerk, the following vote was recorded: Ayes: Richardson, Burge,. Pratt, Williams, McAllis- ter, Heflin and:.Kent. Nays:None. Absent and not voting:Hunt. And the Mayor declared the Ordinance passed, as there were 7 Ayes, and no Nays.
