Present: Magor Powell M.Rhea, City Clerk J.W.McGehee; City Attorney A.D:McAllisterg City Engineer John Mahaffey, City Auditor Harold Zick.9 Fire Chief Burl Skelton, and Aldermen: Richardson, Burge, Hunt, Pratt, Williams, McAllister, Heflin and Kent. Alderman Kent -reported the bills had been audited, and made a motion that they be allowed as approved , this motion was seconded by Alderman Pratt, and was passed unani- mously by the Council. A letter from T,J,Raney & Sons,"confirming their verbal a greement with refer- ence to delivery of the Fayetteville Second -Lien Water 'Revenue -Bonds was presented, Alderman'Richardson made a :•'otion that the letter -be received and filed and a copy be recorded in the minutes of the Council, this motion was seconded by Alderman Pratt, and was passed unanimously by the Council. As soon as you have received bids on the Clear Creek Pumping Station and force main and when the completion bond has been furnished by the -contractor, we will accept delivery and pay for that amount of bonds required to pay for the cost of this construc- tion. -2, When -you have received bids, and a completion bond has-been furnished,for the filtration plant which we understand will be aroud the -latter part of April, we will accept delivery and pay for the amount of bonds necessary to pay for this construction. You, of course, realize that all these projects must come within the 04502000 authorized . issue, If all this work and the fees will permit -the setting aside, out of the 0450,000, an emergency fund of 025,000,this fund will, of course, be set aside out of the bond issue Please bear in mind that if requires, for example, only 0375,000 or 0400,000 to make all thesexpayments, the City is not obligated to issue more bonds than is required to take care of the various projects. If we can furnish any additional information, please let us know. Alderman Williams made a'motion that"the Resolution be adopted, -this motion was econded by Alderman MaAllister,-which`was'passed unanimously by the Council, and the ayor declared the Resolution duly adopted. ? -RESOLUTION N0.'4-53 Now on:r1this 20th day•of: February, -1953; there was presented to the Planning Com ' ission of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas -2 the' proposed plan of the City of Fayetteville n cpsnection witii the conatruotion of a pumping station, force line and treatment facill ties, from Lake Fayetteville to the Reservoir on Mt.Sequoyah. Arid the Planning Commission being fully advised in the premises hereby approves the s:.i..;..:;', aid'plan insofar as it'pertains to use of property in connection with said pumping station, orce main and treatment facilities on Mt.Sequoyah.
