The City Attorney intr6duced �O'ANOORDLNANCE• AUTHORIZING THE INSTITUTION OF EIviINENT OMAIN PROCEEDINGS ON BEHALF OD THE CITY OF FAl'ETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS, FOR THE PURPOSE OF ONTDEMNING PRIVATE PROPETEY FOR PUBLIC USE AS A STREET, OPENTING,E32ENDING,STRAIGFTENING N1D WIDENING NORTH STREET FROM A POINT WEST OF THE WEST LINE OF WALNUT STREET TO LAKE- SDGE DRIVE, IIT THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILIE, ARKANSAS, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES". The Ordinance was read in its entirety by the City Attorney, Alderman Williams .ade a motion that the rules be suspended and the. Ordinance placed. on its second reading, his motion was seconded by A1d. rman Heflin ana was passed unanimously by the Council. The City Attorney then read the Orr.inance the second time, and after discussio , Iderman Richardson made a motion that the rules be further suspended and the Ordinance laced on its third and final reading, this motion was seconded by Alderman Pratt and was. assed unanimously by the Council. The City Attorney then read the Ordinance the third and final time. he Mayor then put the question "Shall the Ordinance pass"?,and on roll call by the Cler , he follov✓ing vote was recorded:Ayes: Richardson, Hunt, Pratt, Williarzs, McAllister and Heflin. ays:None. Absent and not voting ; Aldermen Burge and Kent. And the Mayor declared the ordinance passed, as there were 6 Ayes, and no Nays. Alderman_ Richardson made a mption that the emergency elause be adopted, this Lotion was seconded by Alderman Bunt, and on roll call by the Clerk, the following vote lecorded; Ayes: Richardson, Hunt, Pratt, Williams, Iv?cAllister and Heflin. It* was brought to the attention of the Council that quite a number of the Cit ,employees were interested in some Group Insurance to be paid for by the individual employ provided the City would agree to deduct the payment for the premiums from their pay check and remit to the Insurance Companies�lderman Heflin made a motion that the City Agree to make said deductions and payments, provided there are as many as Ten Employees in any one group making the.request, this motion was:seconded by Alderman Burge and was passed unani mously by the Council. ,��.
