I At the present time this tract is zoned "C" Residential. It is proposed to than his to "E" Commercial. The reaon for the proposed char43e is because the owners of this r_d adjacent land to the -south have agreed to convey a portion of their holdings to the ity for Street purposes. The tract remaining would be too shallow to be used for commer ial purposes,and the above described tract is approximately equal in area to the piece o be conveyed to the City. Alderman 'Richardson made a motion that the recommendations of the Planning e ommission be approved and the notices published, this motion was seconded by Alderman ent, and was passed unanimously by the Council. The City Engineer presented the application of the Pyramid Life Insurance Co. or a building permit at the corner of College Avenue and Prospect Street, Alderman ichardson made a motion that they be granted�a conditional permit, No. 637, to be made armament when conditions are met to conform to the Zoning Ordinances this motion was econded by Alderman Hunt, and was passed unanimously by the Council. The Revised Plat of H.G.Hotz Addition, which had the approval of the Planning ission, was presented, and Alderman Burge made a motion that it be accepted, this seconded by Alderman Tient and was passed unanimously by the Council. The Plat of Fritz Addition, which had been referred to the Planning Commission, as presented, with the approval of the Planning Commission, and Alderman Kent made a of&on that Plat be accepted, thins motion was seconded by Alderman Pratt and was passed nanimously by the Council. Alderman Burge made a motion that the Water Superintendent and as many of his Assistants as can be spared from the office be authorized to attend the 41st Annual Con- vention of the SOUTHWEST SECTION of THE AMERICAN WATER WORKS ASSOCIATION at Tulsa,Octobe 12,13,14 and 15th,this motion was seconded by Alderman Williams, and was passed unanimou by the Council. Alderman Kent reported that the bills had been audited and signed, and made a notion that they be allowed as approved, this motion was seconded by Alderman Heflin and was passed unanimously by the Council. nscoting Alderman Burge, member of the Hospital Committee made a report on the progress o the work at the City Hospital and recommended that wainscoting be installed on the main City corridors, at a cost of approximately $700.00, this motion was :seconded by Alderman spital Pratt, and was passed unanimouely by the Council.' Under the autority of Ordi_nnnce H0, 953,dated the 15th of August, 1949 here are hereby nromulgaYed the efollowing Rules and Regulations governing the cnnsumpt.io d restricting the allowable uses of water during emergencies created by a shortage-oi .upply of water resulting from drought, flood, earthquake, tornado, war fire,lightning, Sabotage and for any and%or all other causes that might emdanger health,; safety and wel£a e f the citizens of Fayetteville, Arkansas. These Rules and Regulations shall become effec.- _ve upon approval of the City Council, and may be invoked upon the reco!>mendation of the '.ater Superintendent and with the approval of -the Mayor and the Water Committee. t Section 2.
