Absent: Alderman Richardson, Minutes of the regular meeting of November 19th,were read and approved. {Aderman Pratt introduced an Ordinance, entitled "AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND 03EDINANCE N0.91( OF THE CITY OF F.'AYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS REGULATING AND FIXING TARES OR TARIFFS TO BE CHARGE Y PUBLIC PASSENGER CARRIER IN THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS PRESCRIBING PENALTIES, ND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. The OPdinance was read in its entirety by the City C1erk,Alderman McGoodwin made a motion that the rules be suspended -and the Ordinance placed on its second reading,this otion was seconded by Alderman Williams and was passed unanimously by the Council. he Clerk then read the Ordinance the second time, and after discuss}.on,-Alderman Williar ade a motion that the rules be further suspended and the Ordinance placed on its third �nd final reading, this motion was seconded by Alderman Heflin and was passed unanimousl; y the Council. AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE N0. 910 OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS REGULATING AND FIXING FARES OR TARIFFS TO BE CHARGED BY PUBLIC PASSENGER CARRIER IN THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS PRESCRIBING PENALTIES, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. WHEREAS, all persons, firms and corporations operating taxicabs in the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas have agreed and consented and have shown cause whereby the fares should be raised, and for their other services , and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Fayetteville has made a careful study of rates and fares to be charged -by taxicabs that will give the public reasonable rates wi' a fair .return to the taxicabs. -operators. The Ordinance was read in its entirety by Alderman McGoodwin, Alderman Williams I made a motion that the rules be suspended and the Ordinance placed on its second reading, this motion was seconded by Alderman McBoodwin, and was passed unanimously by the Council.
