After discussion, the Council agreed to mark -off the LOADING ZONE, and also to
ake up with the State Highway Department the establishment of a traffic signal light.

iceman to direct traffic at the location indicated at certain times of day.
The contracts of Suburban Water -District No..2 and the contract of Suburban Water
istrict No.3.between said -Districts and the City of Fayetteville were presented, after
iscussion, Alderman Williams, Chairman of the Water Committee made a motion that the
ontracts be approved and the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to execute both of the
ontracts, this motion was seconded by Alderman Richardson, and was passed unanimously b
he Council.
There being no further business, Alderman Kent moved to adjourn, seconded by A
an Heflin, which was passed unanimously by the Council, and the Mayor declared the C

cil, this motion was seconded by Alderman Kent, and was passed unanimously by the Council.

SANCE, PROVMDING FOR THE REMOVAL, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY'T HE CITY COUNCIL OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That, whereas , the owners of the following described property, to. wit:
Part of the SW -j NE2. of Section 21-16-30, described as beginning at a point
which is 303 feet North of the SE corner of said 40 -acre tract,thence West
26 rods, thence North 250 feet, thence East 26 rods, thence South 250r�feet to
the point of begimning.

buildings have been found, by the Fire and Sanitation Committee::,of Fayetteville City
Council to be dilapidated, unsanitary, unsafe and hazardous in thatthey and each of them
constitute a fire hazard,and, in addition,are dangerous to the life and limb of the public;
And same and each of them are hereby declared to be nuisances.

And the Chief of the Fire Department is hereby authorized and instructed to serve
he owners of said pieces of property with a copy of this Ordinance and notify said owns
r owners that the respective- pieces of property must either be•torn down and removed or
emodeled within thirty(30) days from the date hereof.
SECTION 2. In the -event the owner or owners of any said property cannot be located,
he Chief of the Fire Department is instructed to serve said notice by posting a copy of
his Ordinance on the.fromt'door of each of said buildings and by mailing a true cibpy of
ame by registered mail to said owner or owners last known address and report such action.

SECTION 3. Any owner or owners of any of the within described property'y failing or
efusing-to conform to the provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a mis-

AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE N0. 910 OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS
REGULATING AND FIXING FARES OR TARIFFS TO BE CHARGED'BY PUBLIC PASSENGER CARRIER IN THE
JIT Y OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS PRESCRIBING PENALTIES, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, all persons, firms and corporations operating taxicabs in the City of
Fayetteville, Arkansas have agreed and consented and have shown cause whereby the fares
should be raised, and for their other services , and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Fayetteville has made a careful study of
rates and fares to be charged -by taxicabs that will give the public reasonable rates wit
a'fair return to the taxicabs:operators.
NOW ,THEREFORE 3 Be it ordained by the Ciyy Council of the City of Fayetteville.,
Arkansas, that Sectionlone of Ordinance 910 be amended to bead as follows:
The taxicab fare for one person shall be 35 cents; for two, 5o cents, and for each
additional passenger 25 cents from any one point to any one point within an area bounded a. _•
as follows: '
Beginning at the intersection of -Garland Avenue and North Street and rihnning thence
East along -North Street'to the Southwest corner of -the Southeast quarter (SE.) of the
Northeast.quarter (NES•), Section Nine (9), Township Sixteen (16) Range Thirty (30) West,
