Building"peririit N6.-476 be approved for -a temporary buildin Permit with the understanding that -Houston Taylor sign an agreement to remove the building any time -that a peromanant building should be erected that would make the temporary building violation of the Building Ordinance , this motion was seconded by Alderman Pratt and was passed unanimously by the Council. Alderman Kent reported that the bills had been audited and signed, and made a motion that they be allowed, as approvedp'this motion was seconded by Alderman Richardson and was passed unanimously by the Council. Greenhaw & Son appeare'd"beforb'the Council with a request -for a permit to cut the curb H.O.Davia on N.Looust Street for 6 -ten -foot driveway for H.O.Davia and Frank Davi , owners of the request to Fayetteville -Business College -'in the discussion that followed,it dev1y ped that under out curb the provisions of Ordinance -No. 968 --it would be possible to issue a permit for more than a six foot drive=way, a%d Alderman Will ams made a motion that Alderman Burge be permitted"to introduce ari'-Ordinance,tbusmend Ordinance No.968, this motion was seconded by Alderman Heflin and was passed unanimously by the Council. Alderman Burge introduced an Ordinance, entitled•"AN ORDINANCE REPEALING SECTION 3(I) AND AMENDING SECTION 3 (J) 9F ORDINANCE N0.968." The Ordinance was read -in its entirety by Alderman Burge,, Alderman Williams made a -motion "that -the- rules be- suspended hind the Ordinance placed''on its seconddteadine this motion was seconded by Alderman Kent and was passed unanimously by the Council. Alderman Burge Bien read the Ordinance the second time; and after discussion Alderman Kincaid made a motion -that the rules be further suspended, and the Ordinance placed on its""third and fiftal reading; this motion was seconded by Alderman Williaps, an was passed unanimously -by the Council. Alderman Burge then read the Ordinance the third and final time. The Mayor then put the questions '"Shall the Ordinance pass"?, -and -on rmll call' by the Clerk the follovring-vote was recorded;Ayes: Richardson; Burge; Pratt�'Williama, Kincaid, Heflin and Kent. Nays:None. Absent and not voting; Alderman McGoodwin. Alderman Burge made a motion -that the emergency clause be adopted, this motic was seconded by Alderman Kent and was passed unanimously by the Council. Baptist reference to their' application for i building permit at the corner of Maple and West Stre Church end presented a petition signed -by "all the property owners in the block -facing Maple Stre Per stating that it would be satisfactory with them for the building -line to be established 38 feet from the curb -as requested by the church,'after discussion, Alderman McGoodwin Made a motion -to -approve Building Permit No.457, permitting the Building line to be 38 fe from the curb,•this motion was seconded by Alderman Richardson, and was passed unanimousl b'iy the Council.
