Minutes.of the regular•meeting of October 30th, were read and approved.
Price Dickson presented a RESOLUTION with reference to the contract between the City of'I
Fayetteville, Arkansas and Fayetteville Suburban Water Distrkct No.l ofiWashington County.
Alderman Feathers made a motion that RESOLUT?ON be adopted, *this motion was
seconded by Alderman 'Williams) and was passed unanimously by the Council.

^'I REAS, the contract between the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas and Fayettevill
Suburban Water District Mo, 1 of Washington County, Arkansas called for the payment of
2,000.00 before construction on said project shopld begin, and,

Whereas, it appears from the original estimate that quantities=were accutately
stablished and over runs in any substantial amount are improbable, and,

Fayetteville the sum of $57,554.50 which amount is considered adequate to pay the con -
actor and to provide supervision in the construction of -said project.
Nt, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
That at the request of Fayetteville Suburban Water District No.l of Washington Count,
kansas, the contract between said District and the City of Fayetteville be amended so a3
provide that construction s4all begin upon -payment to the City of Fayetteville of the
m of..A57,554.50 and it further appearing that said sum has been deposited by said distr ct
th the City of Fayetteville, work on -said project is ordered to begin at once it being
derstood that the City is to retain a sum equal to five per cent of the contract price
r supervision in the construction of said project and the remaining amount over and
ove the contract price shall be held as a contingency fund to be applied on any over runs
.ich may occur during the progress of the work and in •the event over runs are less than
e contingent fund reserved for that purpose, the remainder shall be refunded to said

AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF ONE VACUMN LEAF LOADER FOR THE STREET
ARTMENT OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS, AND -FOR OTHER PURPOSES,
'^lHEREAS, The Street Department of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas is in need
a vacumn leaf loader by reason of the fact that the leaf problem in Fayetteville has
er been solved because of the tremendous amount of man hours required to remove leave
n the City streets and the functions required of the Street Department cannot be main
ned without the purchase ofsaid vacumn leaf loader.
NO171 THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILF.,
Section 1. Threr is hereby appropriated out of the General Fund the sum of Two
housand, Five Hundred, and Eighty Nine Dollard P•: Thirty Cents ($2,589,30) for the
urpose of purchasing a vacumn ea loader.
Section 3. This.Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and afte
