Donation J.Austin Parrish and Clint 'Malden, representing the Washington County Fair Association. of d?300 appeared before the Council with a requst for a refund of the license fee paid by the to Co,Fair Carnival at the time the Fair was held, after discussion, Alderman Kincaid made a motion that the City Council donate $300(Which was the .amount of the license -'fee) to the Washin - ton CouhXty Fair, this motion was seconded by Bohe, and was passed unanimously by the Council. W.C.Whitfield, member of the Hospital Board appeared before the Council.with reference to the proposed remodeling and repairs at the City Hospital, after discission, Alderman Richardson made a motion that the Mayor -be authorized to advertise for bids for the following work to be done at the City Hospital: Paint outside wood work on Nurses Home for Hospital Building Fi epairs .Automatic Sprinkler System at Paint outside wood work city Replace awnings Hospital Install asphalt tile and base board on first floor Install new linoleu n, cove base, and linowall on second floor Install celotex ceiling on third floor Paint inside trim in corridors Install a fire escape on North side of North-South wing Install Fire doors at stairway Install combination water feeder andlow water cut-off for heating boiler Ekireproof area above the boiler in the Hospital Building New batteries for emergency lighting equipment for operating room This motion-.vas.:;seconded by Alderman Feathers, and was passed unanimously by th Council. Alderman Kent reported that the bills had been appr.bvddand signed, and made a motion that the bills be allowed as approbed, this motion was seconded by Alderman Ric lar ,and was passed unanimously by the Council To Fire Department needed 500 feet of 22 int Alderman Williams reported that the Fire 1 00 ft V. and 500 feet of 12 inch fire hose to bring the equipment up to the requirements of the of Fire State Fire Inspector , and reported that he had bids from 3 different firms,.but recom- pose mended that the bid of the Bi -Lateral Hose Cokpany be accepted, after discission, Alder man Williams made a motion that the bid of the Bi -Lateral Hise 0ompany to furnish 500 feet -of 22 inch hose and 500 feet of 12 inch hose be accepted, this motion was seconded y Alderman Kincaid', and was passdd unaimously by the Council. K BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE,_ ARKANSAS: �j Section 1. That hereafter all commercial establishments in the City of Fayetteville shall eep and maintaintheir premises in a sanitary condition as set forth in .this Or 14/3 G nance and as the health and safety of the citizens of the City of Fayetteville may de Section 2. Disposal wastes: .a dson Y C= A. Liquid Wastes: Proper facilities must be provided for the collection and dis= posal of all liquid wastes including floor washings and other materials. These wastes shall not be discharged on the surface of the ground nor into a flowing stlean or body of water that may endanger a public or private water supply or create a nuisance or a menace to the public health. Section 3. No commercial establishment, firm,ccopporation;:®r governmental agency in Fayetteville, Arkansas shall deposit, permit, oriallow any person or persons in their e ploy or under their control, managemant, or direction to derosit or allow any waste con taining caustic soda or other chemical or deleterious substance or substances, liable t affect the proper functioning or operation of the sewage disposal plant, or the health persons, fish,or livestock,to enter ir_ti any sewer of the Fayetteville sewer system. 34-1.1 action 4.
