Absent: Alderman White, Minutes of the regular meeting of October 2nd and thecadjourned meet�mg of October 3rd were read and approved. Mr.George F.Branigan, Chairman of the Fayetteville Safet'y'Council presented a list of 32 eport recommendations for correcting XX existing traffic hazards within the City of Fayettevill f jkldennan Feathers made a motion that the report be received and a vote of thanks be exten Safety to the the COMMITTEE for their stork, this motion was seconded by Alderman Richardson, and ouncile was passed unanimously by the Cpuncil. Alderman McGoodwin made a motion that recommendations 25 through no. 32 be approve nd the Mayor be instructed to inform the Highway Department of thg action of the Council his motion was seconded by Alderman Williams and was passed unanimously by the Council. Alderman McGoodwin made a motion that recommendations no.l through no 24 be refer?e o the Street Committee for study and recommendati&ons, this motion was seconded by Alder- man Richardson and was passed unanimously by the Council. Alderman Bohe introduced an Ordinance, entitled "AN ORDINANCE TO REGULATE THE PERATIONS AND SANITARY COlIDTPTOSiS OF ALL CO? !,"ERCIAL ESTABLISHIaIENTS OF THE CITY OF FAYE T - nance VILLE, ARKANSAS. on reading The Ordinance was read in its entirety by the Clerk, Alderman Feathers made a motion that the rules be suspended and the Ordinance placed on its second reading, this motion was se:onded by Alderman Kent and was passed unanimously by the Council. After discussion, Alderman Feathers made a motion that it be referred to the City Attorney for some suggested changes in the wording ; this mobion was seconded by Alderman Kcnt, and was passed unanimously by time Council. A.D.1icAllister, Jr. Democratic Nominee for City Attorney, who had attended a iwo data meeting of the Arkansas 11unicipal League in place of Price Dickson, City Attorney made a brief report of the meeting and'submitted a report of his expenses amounting to ,41.551 Alderman Kent made'a motion that the expense account be allowed,'this motion was seconded by Alderman Williams, and was passed unanimously bytthe Council. Alderman. Kent reported that the bills had been audited and signed, and Alderman McGoodwin made a motion that the bills be allowed as approved, this motion was seconded y Alderman Kent, and was passed unanimosly by the Council. y the Council, and the Mayor declared the Council adjourned. Alderman Kincaid, chairman of the Police Committee briught up the question of T t 1ephone paying the telephones for the members of the Police Department, stating that since the f r qity was paying the telephone bills for the members of the Fire Department, he felt like P lice t was only fair to the Police Department for their phone bills to be paid, after discus - be paid. ion, Alderman, Kincaid made a motion that the members of the Police Department be allowed ha same amount each month to apply on their telephone bills, as is being paid at the resent time for the members of the Fire Department, which is ,x4.68, this motion was s'e^- nded by Alderman Kent and was passed unanimously by thae Council.
