WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas caused a notice
to be published that it had under consideration the adoption 0EC an ordimance embodying
articles 3 and 4 of the abbreviated edition (1950) of the fire prevention code recom-
ended by the National Board of Fire Underwriters, New York{ and of rules and regulations
governing liquefied petroleum gas containers and equipment adopted by the Boiler Inspec«
tion Division of the Department of Labor of the State of Arkansas under date of August
1949, and
WHEREAS, the requisite number -of copies of said codes were kept on file as pro-
vided by Act 267 of the Acts of Arkansas for the -year 1949 and there have been no pro-
ests or suggestions or requests for discussion, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas finds that it
s to the best interest of the' City of Fayetteville that the above articles of the fire
revention code and the rules and' regulation's governing liquefied petroleum gas containev
d equipment promulgated under date of August 1, 1949 by the Boiler Inspection Division
of the Department of Labor of the State of Arkansas, be adopted,
NOW, THEREFA9, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CIYY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FA`_�TTEVILLE,
RKANSAS:
Section 1. Articles 3 and 4 of the abbreviated edition (1950) of the Fire
revention Code recommended by the National Board of Fire Underwriters, New York be and
he same is hereby adopted for the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Section 2. That the rules and regulations governing liquefied petroleum gas
ontainers and equipmwnt adopted by the Boiler Inspection Division of the Department of
abor of the State of Arkansas under date of August 1, 1949 is hereby adopted by the City
f Fayetteville.
Section 3. Storage tanks not -to exceed 5,000 gallons in capacity may be erecty
withih the fire zone adjacent to Highway 71 from Eleventh Street south to the City lim-
ts. ^
Section 4. Storage tanks not exceedbng 30,000 gallons in capacity may be erect
ed within two hundred feet of any existing track of the St.Louis and San Francrosco
ailway Company south of Eleventh Street to the City limits.
Section 5. It appearing that in order to preserve the public health, peace,
nd safety, this ordinance is.necessary, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and
his ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.

BF IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. There is hereby created the office of Municipal Court Clerk whos
alary shall be one thousand and eight hundred dollars ($1,800.00) per annum payable in

WHEREAS, more than two-thirds in value of the property holders owning properly
adjoining the locality to be affected, and situated in Street Improvement District No. 5
of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, organized for the purpose of grading, draining,
paving, curbing and guttering West Center Street from School Avenue to its intersection
with California Boulevard and West Avenue from West Center Street to `id st Spring Street
