Section 2. The Board of Public Affairs is hereby directed to advertise for bids
or the apparatus, equipment and -supplies set forth in their recommendation and to procee

Alderman Bohe-introduced a RESOLUTION appointing a BOARD OF ASSESSORS for
Street Improvement District No. 562 Alderman Feathers made a motion that the RESOLUTION
be adopted,'this motion was seconded by Alderman Richardson, and was passed unanimously by
the Council.
COPY OF RESOLUTION.
WHEREAS; the Board of Improvement of Street Improvement District No.56 of the City
of Fayetteville, Arkansas, has filed its report, together with an estimate of the cost
of the improvement contemplated in said local improvement district, and it appearing
therefrom that the estimated cost of said improvement, exclusive of interest on borrowed
money, is the sum of Forty One Thousand, Seven Hundred Forty Two Dollars and seven cent'
($41,742.07), being less than sixty per cent of the assessed value of the real property
in the district as shown by the last County Assessment;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City -Council -of the City of Fayettevill',
B and of Arkansas,that said report•be and the same -is hereby approved; and that the making of the

The Mayor presented a request from the Girl Scouts for a longer lease on
tae cabins in the City Park than the five year lease that -had been granted by the Council
after discussion, Alderman White made a motion that the matter be referred to the I'v4ayor a
P k Committee to see If -some arrangement could be made to lease the Girl Scouts alsite,_r:

AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING FISHING. AND BOATING ON THE CITY RESERVOIR ON CLEAR
REEK PROVIDING FOR THE PROMULGATION OF RULES AND REGULATIONS, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COiJ?CIL OF THE CIT111TOF PAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section One, Subject -to the rules and regulations to be 'adopted in the
anner hereinafter set forth, it 'shall be lawful to fish in'the-City_"Reservoir on Clear
reek in Washington County, Arkansas, and .to operate boats on.said lake.
Section Two. Fishing -and boating on said lake shall be permitted at the ti
end in the manner hereafter authorized by motrion or resolution -of the City Council of the
City of Fayetteville, Arkansas,.having due regard for the rules and regulations of the
Board of Health -of the State of Arkansas and of the recommendations of the State Game anc
ish Commission.
Section Three: The City of Fayetteville shall from time to time by resoluti
or motion promulgate a necessary rules and regulabions•in connection Yiith the use of se
bake for boating and fishing and all necessary rules and,regulations with respect to the
fish may be taken.and the types of boats which may tie used on said lake, and limitation c
power of motors to be used -on such boats, and to provide such other -rules and regulation;
In connection with boating -and fishing activities,on said lake as may from time' to time t
esirable, including the fixing of permit fees and such other matters and things as the C
f Fayetteville may deem advisable and proper.
-.Section Four. It appearing that the Clear"Creek reservoir is rapidly fill
ing and that the Arkansas State Game and Fish -Commission has already begun tli'e stocking o
said reservoir with fish, and that recommendations may be made by the Arkansas State Gan
and Fish Commission within the near future with-res,pect to the opening of said reservoir
to fishing, and it further, appearing that adequate safeguards should be provided to pre-
vent pollution of the reservoir as a water suppltr, and this Ordinance being 'necessary fo
the public health, peace and safety, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this
ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
