Alderman McGoodwin made a motion that the agreement be pproved,,and the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to sign the Agreement; this motion econded by Alderman Richardson, and was passed unanimously by the Council* Contract' I Tile Mayor presented a contract of the SOUTHWESTERN GAS & ELECTRIC CO for with urnishing the power for the lights at the Airport SW.Gas & E.Co. Alderman McGoodwin made a motion that the contract be approved for'irport and that the Maypr be authorized to sign the contract, this motion was seconded by Aldei man Feathers, and was passed unanimously by the Council, ep Rlace Alderman McGoodwin made a motion that -the Mayor be authorized to replace Stop butttons STOP BUTTONS with METAL STOP SIGNS whereever it was practical to do so, this motion was with seconded by Alderman Williams, and was passed unanimously by the Council* Stop signs There being no further business, Alderman McGoodwin moved to adjourn, secoz ed by Alderman Kent, which was passed unanimously by the Council, and the Mayor declarei the Council adjourned, with the understanding. that the next regular meeting would be October 10th, and would be at 7;30, P.M. Carnival Austin Parish, Chairman of the Washin ton County Fair Association app*ed before the Counc license with a request for the return of the 300 carnival fee paid to the Ciduring the Fair we to be after discussion, Alderman Feathers made a motion that the license fee be rfifunded to the t refunded Air Association, this motion was seconded by Alderman Kincaid, and was psssed unanimously by the Council. The Clerk presented a statement of the 9th installment in Paving District No. 469 amounting to $99.56, Alderman McGoodwin made a motion that the bill be allowed, seconded by Alderman White, which was passed unanimously by the Council. Expense of IAlderman Williams made a motion that the expenses of the Fire Chief, Fire one driver and one volunteer Fireman be allowed for attending the Firemen's Convention to Committee be held at Ft.Smith.. October 24-25-26-, this motion was seconded by Alderman Feathers, and to be paid was passed unanimously by the Council. Alderman Williams made a motion that the annuallduesc,of-t_he Firemen, of 11.00 Dues to be per member, amountmng to $38.00 be paid, this motion was seconded by Alderman Feath paid for and was pased unanimously by the Council.
