Minutes of the regular meeting of August 1st., and the Adjourned meeting of

&ntract Clear Creek Pater Supply of the CiVy Water Department, which had been postponed from the

st•Co. the Max A.Mehlburger Engineering firm, was present, and stated that his firm had made a
thorough study of the bids submitted on the Project,•and it was their recommendation that
the contract be awarded to S.E.Evans Construotion.46int of Ft.Smith, who had submitted the
bid; Alderman Feathers made a motion that the Recommendation be approved and the contx
awarded to S.E.Evans Construction for $202,775.001 and that the Mayor and City Clerk be
authorized to sign the contract; this motion was seconded by Alderman McGoodwin, and was
passed unanimously by the Council;
Alderman McGoodwin made a motion that the Engineer be authorized to negoti'at
with the Evans Construction Co, for a price on the clearing and grubbtng,,a long the shox
line.necessary to meet the recommendations and approval of the State Board of Health,and
