Hospital bids submitted: Shirley & Son $2,077.00, Johnson Plumbing Co. $2,250.00 and Fayetteville
;Plumbing & Heating Co. $12230.00, Alderman Feathers made a motion that the bids be refer:
Ito the Hospital Committee and City Engineer to study and make recommendations •at the ad-
journed meeting of August 4th, this motion was seconded by Alderman McGoodwin, and was
passed unanimously.by the Council.
The question of the Civil Service Commission being changed from 3 to 5 membersv ar
after discussion it was decided to postpone action till the Mayor could have time to subr
a list for appointment.
Park Alderman Kincaid, chairman of the Park Committee submitted a report of the meetii
Committe If the Park Committee -with the varioys Civic organizations, and after discussion, Alderma
report White made a motion that the Park Committee KH make a study of the i*y.6vements needed t<
bring the Pool up a standard that will meet the approval of. the STATE BOARD OF HEALTH,

Alderman McGoodwin made a motion that the appointmentsbe approved, seconded by Aldermen
Kincaid, which was passed unanimously by the Council.

regi Tie Mayor reported that M.P.Rembree had resigned as manager of the City
W. L.MoouldgPusing Project, and that he. had temporarily appointed W.L.Moulder as managers. Alderman
asmanager ,eathersnmade a motion that the appointment be approved, this motion was seconded by
Alderman Kincaid, and was passed unanimously by the Counoil
TLie Mayor reported that he had a request to, sell some top soil from the
Mayor to Linglebach tract of land in the City Water Lake Project, Alderman McGoodwin made a motior
that the Mayor be Authorized_to sell top soil from this tracts this motion was seconded t

and all streets and/or alleys heretofore shown on any Plats of said Block Nine(9) are
iereby abindoned,they never having been opened or accepted by the City of Fayetteville,
xkansas. A copy of said replat is attached to this resolution and made a part here
and the City Clerk is hereby directed to issue his certificate of such acceptance of sal

Alderman White made a motion that the bills be alloweddas approved, seconded by Alderman
Kent, which was passed unanimously by the Councilo

After discussion, Alderman Feathers made a motion that the awarding of the contract be
postponed till regular meeting of the Council August 8th, this motion was seconded by
Alderman Kincaid, and was passed unanimously -by the Council'o
Alderman McGoodwin made a motion that the checks of the three high bidders
be returned, and that the three low bidders be permitted•to substitute BID BONDS for the

was seconded by Alderman White, which was passed unanimously by the Council'o

Tie Mayor stated that he had made a contract with Frank Suttle and
arbage Harvin Dowell to sell them all of the garbage from the City at a price of $1;75 per ton,
ontract Alderman Kincaid made a motion that the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to sign the.

Alderman McGoodwin made a motion that' the. Insurance be -turned over to
