Minutes of the regular meeting of October 25th, and adjourned meetings of

Chi House made a motion that they be permitted to use the buildings,with the underspanding that
t ey be placed not closer than 15 feet to any residence and that they be removed not later
t an January 1st, 1950, this motion was seconded by Alderman Feathers, and was passed

Ozark with a request for a NO PARKING ZONE in fromt of the Ozark Theatre, after discussion,

T}}eatre Alderman Williams made a motion that the request be granted, this motion was seconded by
Alderman Hale, and was passed unanimously by the Council.
Alderman Hale, chairman of the Water Committee,.presented the October
report of the Water Department, Alderman Whitfield made a mobion that the rept&..t be re-
ceived and filed, seconded by Alderman Gray, which was passed unanimously by the Council.
Committee I Alderman Whitfield made a.motion that the Council go on record as favoring
recommend- the appointment of a committee of three(preferably not members of the Council) to repre-
edfor sent the Council in dealing with.the contractor and supervising the construction, if the
Project project is approved by the voters, this motion was seconded by Alderman Gray, and was
passed unanimously by the Council.

within the corporate limits of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas:
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLEs ARKANSAS;
SECTION I, That the rate of taxes for the City General Fund purply
poses, for the year 1948,be,and� the same is hereby declared to be Five
Mills (5) on each dollar of Ag�sed valuation.of all real and personal
property within the corporate limits of the,City of Fayetteville,Arkansas,
as shown by the Assessment Books for State and County purposes, and that
the same is hereby levied; and the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby author-
ized and directed to certify this levy to the -County Clerk of Washington
County, Arkansas, to the end that the same be.placed on the Books and
collected with the State and County Taxesw
SECTION 2. That the rate of taxes for the Fire Department Fund
purposes, for the year 1948, bes and the same is hereby declared to be
Five Mills (5) on each dollar of assesdd valuation of all real and personal
property within the corporate limits of the City of �ayettevillesArkansas,
as shown by,the Assessment Books for State and County purposes, and that

One (1) Mill on each dollar of assessed valuation of all meal and per-
sonal property within the corporate limits of the City of r'ayettevilles
Arkansas, as shown by the Assessment Books for State and Uounty purposes,
and that the same is hereby levied; and the Mayor and City Clerk are
hereby authorized and directed to certify this levy to the County Ulerk
of Washington Cgunty, Arkansas,, to the end that the same be placed on
the Books and collected with the State and County Taxes,
SECTION 5. That the rate of taxes for the City Hospital
Bonds and the City Fdre Bonds and the Interest thereof, for the year
1948, be, and the same is hereby declared to be Two(2) Mills on each
dollar of assessed valuation of all real and personal property within
the limits of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, as shown by the
Assessment Books for State and County purposes, and that the same is
hereby levied; and the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and
directed to certify this levy to the County Clerk of Washdngton
County, Arkansas, to the end that the same be placed on the Books
and.collected with the State and County Taxes,
