Present: Mayor G.T.Sanders, City Clerk J.W.McGehee, City Ettorney Price Dicksontity Engi- neer E.T.Brown, and Aldermen; Hale Feathers; Bohe, Whitfield, White and Gray. Alderman Whitfield made a motion that the'bill of W.C.Smith for $30576,29, being 60% of fee due at time of -taking bids on the construction at the Airport,and the Bill of Price Dickson for $1,764.18, being 90% of 2 % of contract price of the constructi 1XKtMJ1W1dX1§U4kK1dX,said bils to be paid on receipt of comfirmation of contrast agree menti by THE CIVIL AERONAUTICS AUTHORITY,this motion was seconded by Alderman Hale, and wa passed unanimously by the Council* I PARXINQ Alderman Whitfield made a motion that the Council apprmve a "NO PARKING"space W.Maplein front of a residence on West•Maple Street where there was a crippled boy, inorder that the mother might have a space to pick up the boy to take toSchool and return, said order io remain in effect so long as this condition exdsts,-this motion was.seconded by Alderma: gray, and was passed unimously by the Council* The Clerk then read the Ordinance the second time, and was left on its second reading* lhere being no further business, Alderman Hale moved to adjourn, seconds by Alderman Gray, which was passed unanimously by the Council, and the Mayor declared the Uouncil adjourned till 7:30 O'Clock October 11th, 1948. 1. Approved mayor Attest 6xity clerm Alderman Whitfield -made a motion that the Mayor, City Attorney,3 members of Committee the City Council and the Municipal Judge be authorised to,attend a meeting of the Munisipal tol Hot League in Hot Springs, October 7th and 8th of October, this motion was seconded by Alderman Springs and was passed unanimously by the Council. leathers, Chief of Police The Mayor presented a .request of the Chief of_.Police for a list of egipment tolbuy needed by the Police Department ,after discussions Alderman Hale made a motion that the egvipmt Mayor and Chief be authorised to purchase the equipment listed; upto $250.000 this motion I as seconded by Alderman White, and was passed unanimously by the Council* Alderman Bohe introduced am Ordinance, entitled, " AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE PLUMBING CRDINANCES OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS, REVISING SAID ORDINANCES ' AND ADDING NEW REGULATIONS ALL IN CONFORMITY WITH STANDARD CODES." The Ordinance was read in full by the Clerk, Alderman Whitfield made a mo#ion that the rules be suspended and the Ordinance placed on its second reading, this I otion was seconded by Alderman white,and was passed unanimously by the Council* The Clerk then read the Ordinance the second time, and was left on its second reading* lhere being no further business, Alderman Hale moved to adjourn, seconds by Alderman Gray, which was passed unanimously by the Council, and the Mayor declared the Uouncil adjourned till 7:30 O'Clock October 11th, 1948. 1.
