The absence of the Mayor was noted, and alderman Hale made a motion that Alderman White be elected as Mayor Pro -tem, to serve till Ma; *or Sanders return, this mo - ion was seconded by Alderman Williams, and was passed unanimously by the Council The Clerk then called the roll, and the following answered present: ity Clerk J.l"I.McUehee, City Engineer E.T.Brown, and Aldermen; HalepPeathers, Bohe, Williams,, White and Gray. A map showing the specifications of the SHOP AND GARAGE building, prop°;ed Shop & be built on Highway 62 -west, was presented to the Council, and Alderman Hale made a mo- Gariage tion that the matter be referred to the Street Committee for recommendation, this motion Bldg; on was seconded by Alderman 'Nilliams, and -was passed unanimously by the Council. 62 iighway flderman Williams brought up the question of needing some new waste paper New Waste containers on the square, and after discussion Alderman Hale made a motion that the matt payer be referred to the Sanitation committee, to see if some satisfactory deal could be worke baskets out with the new management of the Picture Shows to furnish new ones or` if not for the to be bough City to purcase new ones, this motion was seconded by Alderman P1 ams, and was passed unanimously by the Council. N9 PARKINGI Alderman Williams made a motion that NO PARKING ZOIE be established on inin W.Maplethe north side of Maple Street in front of the New Fire Station 150 feet wide, and a front NO PARKING Sign be placed at each end of the ZONE, this motion was seconded by Alderman of Fire Gray, and was passed unanimously by the Council.
