OF ALL STREETS AND ALLEYS IN THE REPLAT OF SMITH'S ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE# ARKANSAS. WHEREAS, the streets and alleys in Smiths Addition to the City of Fayettei ville,-Arkaiisas;were not dedicated at the time of the filing .of the plat of said addition and that the City of Fayetteville is desirous of placing a lar#er water line for the usel and benefit of the owners of said addition,it has become primarily suitable and desirable to replat said addition, henceforth to be called a replat of Smith's Addition to the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, and to dedicate said streets and alleys for the use and benefit of the public. -NCW, THERHFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COU14CIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE Section 1. The dedication of the streets and alleys .for the use and benefit of the public to the replat of Smith's Addition to the City of Fayett,_eville be and is hereby accepted. t Passed and approved this 19th day of July, 1948. Alderman Feathers made a motion that Swofford and Company be requested to make a five year audit of the Water Department, more clearly showing just what amount was spent for operating expenses, and what amount spent for Capital investment, and for the City Attorney to be ready to report at the next regular meeting of the City Council, as. to what the next step would•be in getting ready for the sale of the Bonds for the Wat Department, this motion was seconded by Alderman Hale, and was passed unanimously by the Counc i1e ' T e Mayor reported'that McClinton Bros. had submitted•a bid of $98,008.09 for the Construction work to be done at the Airport, invitation for bids for said work had been duly advertised in the NORTHWEST ARKANSAS TIMES; and had been opened at 2 O'Clc July 19th, Alderman Williams made a moyion that the Council recommend the acceptance of tie bid to.C.A.A., this'motion'was seconded by Alderman Harlan, and was passed unanimos] by the Council.�,Ct✓ij%AeranAut.eaf49m1nIsrtrptloh There being ho further business, Alderman Hale moved to adjourn, secor ed by Alderman.Gray, which was'passed unanimously by the -Council, and the Mayor declares the Council adjourned. The Mayor stated that the inweting had benn called for the purpose of passing ar Ordinance authorizing the Water Department to borrow One Hundred Thousand (1009000) Dol for the purchase of equipment ,repairs and expansion of the system. Alderman Whitfield introduced an Ordinance, entitled " AN ORDIITj%dCE AUTHOR- IZING THE CITY WATER PLANT OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS TO BORROW ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS (100,000) for the purpose of purchasing equipment, supplies, -extending and enlarging the water system of the City of Fayetteville and iinproving fire protection; pledging revenues and providing for repayment of said indebtedness and for other purposes; The Ordinance was read in its entirety by the Clerk, alderman Whitfield) made a motion that the rules be.suspended, and the Ordinance placed on its second readiig, t :.., this motion was sec&nded by Alderman Gray,and was passed unanimelisly by the Council.
