AN ORDINANCEFIXING THE TIME FOR THE BEGINNING OF TERMS OF ALL ELECTIVE OFF'I- IIALS OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE* ARKANSAS, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES , which had been left on Its first reading, at the regular meeting of The Council, May 3rd, was read in its entirety the second time by the Clerk,affid Alderman Whitfield made a motion that the rules be suspends and the Ordinance placed on its t1gird and final reading, this motion was seconded by Alder- an lde - an Gray, and was passed unanimously by the Council. the Clerk then read the Ordinance the third and final time. The Mayor then put the question " Shall the Ordinance pass"?,.and on roll call by the Clerk, the following vote was recorded; Ayes: Hale, "eathers, Bohe, Williams,*Whitgield, White end Gray. Nays:None. Absent and not voting: Harlan. And the.Mayor declared the Ordinance passed, as there were 7 Ayes, and no nays. ORDINANCE NUMBER 9-3-4. AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE TIME.FOR THE BEGINNING OF TERMS OF ALL ELECTIVE FFICIALS OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS: SECTION I.The terms of all elected officials in the. City of Fayetteville, rkansas shall begin on the on the first Monday after the first tuesday in April in the ear in which said officials are elected, and shall continue for the length of time rescribed by law. SECTION 2. All orefinances or parts of ordinances in conflicts herewith are ereby repealed. The Ordinance was read in its entirety by the Clerk, Alderman Williams made motion that the rules be suspended and the Ordinance placed on its second reading, his motion was seconded by Alderman White, and was passed unanimously by the Council. AN ORDINANCE CREATING THE OeFICE OF MUNICIPAL COURT CYERK OF THE CITY OF AYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS, PRESCRIBING DUTIES, FIXING THE SALARY, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF, THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILEv ARKANSAS: Section_: 1: There is hereby created the office of Municipal Court Clerk whose salary shall,be one- thousand and eight hundred dollars ($1,800.00) per annum payable in equal monthly installments. Section 2. Said office shall be filled as is now or may hereafter be prescribed by law, and said Municipal Court Clerk shall perform the duties and enter into the bond s is now or shall hereafter be prescribed by law. Syction 3. It appearing that administrative affairs in the Municipal Court have increaseC to such an extent that the administration of justice is impaired, and this ordinance being necessary for the preservatimn of public health, peace and safety, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall be in full force and effe( from and after its passage and approval.
