Alderman Whitfield made a motion that the bills be allowed as approved, seconded by
Alderman Gray, which was passed unanimously by theaC'ouncil.
Alderman Gray made a motion that warrants be drawn on the Street Fund to
pay the annual assessment for paving the Street intersections in District N8 46, for
$99.56, District No. 47, for $60.51 and for District No 54, for X140.00, this motion
was seconded by Alderman Whitfield, and was passed unanimously by the Council.
Municipal Judge Paul Jameson appeared before the Council and made a reques•
for a FILING CABINET, also, asked the Council to consider his request for a Clerk for
municipal Court, Alderman Whitfield made a motion that Judge Jameson be authorized to

and make recommendation to the Council at the next meeting, this motion was seconded by
Alderman Gray, and was passed unanimously by the Council.
Mr.Howard Wardlaw appeared before the Council with regerence to the kind
of audit the Council wanted him to make of the City funds, after discussion, Alderman
Hale made a motion that Mr vlardlow be authorized to make an audit " in the same manner
as in the past, and to begin this month handing the County Clerk a copy of the detadled
monthly report made out b# the City Clerk, this motion was seconded -by alderman Whit-
field, and was passed unanimously by the Council.

lderman Hale made a motion that a "NO PARKING ZONE"Be established at the intersection of,
ZARK and Dickson Streets for.fifty feet from the corner.in both directions, and that a
NO PARKING ZONE"be establishedon one side of Buchanan Street, this motion was seconded ly
lderman Gray and was passed unanimously by the Council.

Motion that the rules be suspended and the Ordinance placed on its second reading, this
otion was seconded by Alderman White, and was passed unanimously by the Council.
The Clerk then read the Ordinance the second time, and after discussion,
Alderman Whitfield made a motion that the rules be £urther,suspended, and the Ordinance.
Placed on its third and final reading, this motion was seconded by Alderman Gray, and
was passed unanimously by the Council.
The Clerk then read the Ordinance the third and final time.

Jerk, the following vote was recorded; Ayes: Hale, Feathers, Harlan, Bohe, Williams,-
Vhitfield, White and Gray. Nays: None. And the Mayor declared the Ordinance passed, as
here were 8 Ayes, and no Nays;

REPLAT OF LOTS 2 and 3 OF BLACK711 OF MASONIC ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE,

-IIHEREASp a petition was duly filed with .the City Council 'of the'City of Fay-
etteville, Arkansas, on the•loth day of February,.1948, asking the City Council to vaca
and abandon all that portion of Summit Street described as running North and South and
(being seventy x'70) feet wide between lots 1, 2 and 3 in Block 4, and Lots 1, 2 and 3 in
Mcllroy's fiddition to the City_of Fayetteville, said addition being a replat of Lots 2
nd 3 of Block 11 of Masonic Addition to the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas As shown and
on file in the office of the Circuit Clerk and Ex -Officio Recorder of Washington County,
Arkansas, and I.
WHEREAS, after due notices as required by law, the Council has, at the time
and place mentioned in the notice, heard all persons desiring to be heard on the questio
and has ascertained that the street or the portion thereof, hereinabove described, has
been dedicated to the public use as a street herein described; has not been actually use
by the public generally for -a period of at Least five years subsequent to the filing of
the plat; that all the owners of the property abutting upon the portion of the street to
be vacated have filed with the City Council their written'consent to such abandonment;
and that public interest and welfare will not be adversely affected by the abandonment
of such street. '

Section 1. The City of Fayetteville,.Arkansas, hereby releases, vacates an'

" Section 2. A copy of the ordinance duly certified by the City Clerk shall
be filed in the office of the recorder of the County and "recorded in the deed records of
the County.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage and approval.
