Absent: Mayor Sanders, and Aldermen ; Harlan, Whitfield and Gray* il1iams Absence of the Mayor was noted, and Alderman Hale made a motion that Alderman Williams bl iayor- enacted Mayor Pro -tem, this motion was seconded by alderman White, and was passed unanimously mo -tem bIy the Council, • The minutes of the regular meeting of April 5th, vere read and approved. Mayor to I Ina derman Hale made a motion that the Mayor be authorized to sign the request of the City si Quest Fayetteville and the Fayetteville �'hamber of Commerce to the Civil Aeronautics Admin- lor CAA tration i*I the matter of the location of a Civil Aeronautics Administration Communications ation in Northwest Arkansas, this motion was seconded by Alderman White and was passed nimously,by the Council• The Clerk presented the Certificates of election, together with the oath of dffice•;V+hich,-:had been�subsdri:bed and sworn to before an officer qualified to administer e oaths, of all the newly elected officials, Viz: City Attorney Price Dickson, City Clerk Mcuehee,Municipal Judge Paul Jams n and Aldermen ; H:E.White,lst Ward, Al Bohe Alderman Ward, Webb H.Vlilliams Alderman Z Ward ar1d Tom Feathers, Alderman 4th Ward, Alderman le made a motion that the Certificates of Elction and qualif4.cations of the Aldermen approved, this motion was seconded by Alderman White and was passed unanimously by the Council-* Alderman White made a motion that the Council adjourn Sine -Die, this motion was .econded by Alderman Hale, and was passed unanimously by the Council, and the Mayor declared he Council adjourned Sine -die. The Mayor then instructed the Clerk to call the roll of the New Council, and the following Aldermen answered present: Hale, Feathers, Bohe, Williams and White.Absent: Aldermen Harlan, Whitfield and Gray. ity Park TY18 City Attorney reported that he was making a'report of the money on hand to pay 5,000 in the Aviation fund, and all other resources in order to qualify for the Grant from the loan uovernment, for the improvement of the Airport,and.thought it would be necessary to transer the $5,000 that the C&tl# Park fund owed the Aviatiob Fund, alderman Hale made a motion that e warrant be drawn on the City Par7j, payable to the Aviation Fund, this motion was seconded by Alderman White, and was passed unanimously by the Council Alderman White made a motion that the City Atttorney be instructed to Vrepare a Resolution requesting the Mayor to have a detailed audit of all City Accounts prepared at once and that he file a financial statement for the years 1946 and 1947 with the County Clerk and the City Clerk,this motion was seconded by Alderman Feathers, after discussion Alderman Hale made a motion to table the motion till Mayor Sanders could be presenjs, this motion was seconded by Alderman Williams, and on roll call on the motion to table, the following vote was recorded: Ayes:Hale and Williams. Nays: Feathers, Bohe andl Jhite. And the Mayor declared the motion to table, was lost,as there were 2 Ayes, and 3 Nays. The Clerk then called the roll on the original motion, and the following vote was recorded; dyes: Feathers, Bohe and White.
