Present: Mayor G.T.Sanders, City Clerk J.W.McGehee, City Attorney Price Dickson, City Engineer E.T.Brown, and Aldermen; Hale, Adkisson, Harlan, Bohe, Williams, White and Gra3. :Absent: Alderman Whitfield'. Minutes of the regular meeting of January 5th, were read and approved. The December reports of, J.W.McGehhe as City Clerk and as City Collector, and of Roy Nix as Sewer Service Collector, were presented by the Clerk, and alderman Williams made a motion that the reports be received and filed, seconded by Alderman Adkisson,which was passed unanimously by the Council. F.Brown Alderman Williams made a motion that the transportation and meals expense expense to of Frank Brown be paid to attend a Firemen's Convention at little Rock, January 21-22, LiRocke this motion was seconded by Alderman Hale, and was passed unanimously by the Council. Traffic Alderman Hale made a motion that a traffic light be installed at the inter - light section of Maple & Garland Streets, this motion was seconded by alderman Gray, and was Maple & passed unanimously'by the Council. Garland The Mayor reported the request of the Police Department for the Approval Pllice to of the Council for their Department to hold a BALL for the purpose of raising some money have a for the POLICE DEPARTMENT, Alderman Harlan made a motion that their request be granted, "BALL" seconded by Alderman Gray, which was passed unanimously by the Council. I The Mayor reported that Oscar Asher, Foreman of the Sanitation Department Asher wasiiusing his car for "TROUBLE SHOOTING" for that department, and thought the City oug] llowed to allow him something for car expense, Alderman Hale made a motion that he be allowed ;10 car the sum of $10.00 per month for car allowancet this motion was seconded by Alderman wxpense Bohe, and was passed unanimously by the Council`f�w ,o put Alderman Gray made a motion that the City Agree to put in.Sewer and wate 'ewer & lines for the County Hospital, -if and when the Y, locate within the City Limits, this mo ,ater lineswas seconded by Alderman Adkisson, and was pas ed unanimously by the Council* .n for I Trere being no further business, Alderman Hale moved to adjourn, seco runty Hosp.Alderman Harlan, and was passed unanimously by the Councilv and the Mayor declardd the Council adjourned.- Attest: .
