Fayetteville City Council met in adjourned session, -Monday, December 15th, 1947.
Present: Mayor G.T.Sanders, City Clerk. J.W.I.IcGehee, City Attorney Price Dickson, City
Engineer E.T.Brown and Fire Chief Henry George, and Aldermen; Hale, Ad'.:isson,Har lan,•z
Bohe, Williams, Whitfield, White And Gray.
The Mayor stated that this adjourned meeting was for the purpode of opening the
bids and awarding a contract for the purdhase of parking meters , and stated there were
5 bids submitted, 3 of the automatic type and 2 Of the manually operated type.
The Council first took•a secret ballot on the choice,of types, which was unanimo
inrfavor of the automatic type, the Council then took a secret ballot on the choice of
bid& submitted by the 3 automatic parking meter Companies, which vote eliminated the
bid of the Dual Parking Meter -Company.
The Council then took a secret ballot oh the bids of,the Karpark Meter: Co. and
the Park -O -Meter Oo., with the result that the Karpark received 5 votes and the Park -
Parking 044eter 3. and the Mayor declared the contract awarded to Karpar%Meter Company.
purchased Alderman Whitfield made a motlun that the Mayob and the Street Committee
be given authority to determine the number of Parking meters to be purchased and the
location of the same, and that the Mayor, City Clerk and City Attorney be authorized
to sign a contract with the Karpark Meter Company for the number of -Parking meters that
the Mayor and Street Committee recommend as beng needed, this motion was seconded by
Alderman Harlan, and was passed unanimously by the Council.,
There being no further business, Alderman Hale moved to adjourn, seconded
by Alderman Adkisson, which was passed unanimously by the Council, and the Mayor decla:
the Council adjourned.

I7o quorum I Fayetteville City Council met in regular session, Monday Decmber 22, 1947.
Preseent: Mayor G.T.Samders, City Clerk J.W.McGehee, and Aldermen Williams and Adgisson.
After visiting till 7-30, and no quorum appearing, Alderman Adkisson made
a motion that the Council adjourn till Monday, December 29th, 19479 seconded by Alderman
W iliams, which was passed unanimously by the Council, andothe Mayor declared the Council
adjourned till 7-30 P.M., December 29th, 1947.
No QUORUM Fayetteville City Council met in adjourned session, Monday, December 29th, 1947.
Present : Mayor G.T.Sanders, City Clerk J.W.McGehee, City Attorney Price Dickson, and
Alderman; Bohe, Williams# White and Gray, after waiting till 8:O'Clock, and no quorum
appearing, the Mayo3b declared the Council.adjourned

Minutes of the regular meeting of December 8th, Adjourned meeting of December
5th, regular meeting of December 22nd, and adjourned meeting of December 29th, were
read and approved.
