AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE FIRST FIRE ZONE OF THE CITY OF•FAYETEEVILLE, ARKANSAS
ND FOR OTHER PURPOSES „
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section l.That the First Fire Zone be, and it is hereby exyended North along
United States Highway 71 from the present North line -of the fir.st fire zone to the North
City limits so as to include a strip of land one hundred and fifty feet (150) wide on eac:
side of United.States Highway 71.
Section 2. The First Fire Zone of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas is here'
extended South along United States Highway 71 from its present Southern boundary to the
South•C,it�ol�imitp of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas so as to include a strip of land
one hundred and fifty feet (150) wide on each side of United States Highway 71.

• e tended West from United States Highway Number 71 along United States Highway 62 as pres
cntly located, to the West City limits of the City of Fayetteville, Arkinsas so as -to in-
llude a strip of land one hundred fifty(150) feet wide on each side.of United State High-
way 62.
Section 4. All ordinances orvparts of ordinances in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed, and it appearing that there are many structures proposed to be erected
within the limits set forth in Section 1,2 and 3 of this ordinance which are considered
as commercial structures as distinguished from residential structures, and that such
structures should be con structed in.accordance with.regulations precribed for buildings
ergQted in the first fire zone, and that they should not be frame construction as is per-
mitted in the intermediate fire sone, an emergency is hereby declared to exist, and this
• ordinance shall be in frill force and effect from and after its passage and approval.

There being no further business, alderman Hale moved to adjourn, seconded by
alderman White, which was passed.unanimously by the Council, and the Mayor declared the

called by the Hospital Committees, there would not be a quorum present, alderman Hale
made a motion that the Council adjourn till -Tuesday Night, seconded by alderman Will
(which was passed unanimously by the Council, and the Mayor declared the eouncil adjou
till Tuesday, November 25th, at 7:30 P.M.,

Alderman Williams made a motion that the bills be allowed as approved, seconded by alder
man Adkisson, which was passed unanimously by the Council•

Alderman Bohe introduced an Ordinance, entitled "AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING STREET
IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NUMBER 55.
ITie Ordinance was read in its entirety by the Clerk, Alderman Whitfield made a
notion that the rules be suspended and the Ordinance placed on its second reading, this
otion was seconded by Alderman Gray, and was passed unanimously by the Council.
The Clerk then read the Ordinance the second time, and after discussion.. Alderman
nihitfield made a motion that the rules be furthBr suspended, and the Ordinance placed on its
ts third and final reading, this motion was seconded by alderman Gray, and was passed
unanimously by the Council*
The Clerk then read the Ordinance the third and final times
The Mayor then put the question "Shall Hthe Ordinance pass"?, and on roll call by the Clerks
(the follwing vote was recorded; Ayes: ,.Adkisson, harlan, Bohe, Williams, Whitfield
and Gray. Nays:Ngne. Absent and clot voting: White.. And the Mayor declared the Ordinance
ipassed, as there were 7 Ayes, and no nays.
Alderman Williams made a motion that the emergency clause be adopted;. this motion
was seconded by alderman Ha-rlan,and on roll call by the Clerk, the following vote was
recorded; Ayes: Hale, Ad�1kisson, Harlan, Bohe, Williams, Whitfield and Gray. Nays:None.
Absent and not voting:White. And the Mayor declared the emergency clause adopted, as there
ere 7 Ayes, and no Nays

AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING STREET IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT N (BER 55*
l49EREAS, parties claiming to be the owners of two-thirds in assessed value of
the property located within the territory hereinafter described, have filed a petition
praying that an Improvement District be established for the purposes hereinafter set out.
INHEREAS, after due notice as required,by law, the City Council of the City of
Fayetteville, Arkansas has heard all parties desiring to be heard and has ascertained that
Isaid petition was signed by.two-thirds in assessed value of the owners of Real Property
within said territory;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Fayetteville,
rkansas:
SECTION I: T�ere is hereby established an Improvement•District embracing the
property within the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas bounded as follows, to wit:
Beginning on the West line of College Avenue at the Southeast corner of
I,Bt 2, Block 17 Of A.L.Trent's revised plat of City Park Adddtion, and running thence
West 210 feet more or. less, to the Southwest corner, of said Lot 2, thence West to the
Southeast corner of Lot 1, Block 18 of A.L.Trent's revised plat of City Park Addition,
(thence along the South lines oa Lots 1,2,3,4,5,6,73,8 and 9 of said Block 18 to the Southi
