AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE FIRST FIRE ZONE
ND FCR OTHER PURPOSES

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OB THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section l.That the First Fire Zone be, and it is hereby exgended North along
ited States Highway 71 from the present North line -of the first fire zone to the North
ty limits so as to include a strip of land one hundred and fifty feet (150) wide on eac

Section 2. The First Fire Zone of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas is here'
extended South along United States Highway 71 from its present Southern boundary to the

one hundred and fifty feet (150) wide on each side of United States Highway 71,

tently located, to the West City limits of the City of Fayetteville, Arkt.nsas so as to in-
cllude a strip of land.one hundred fifty(150) feet wide on each side,of United State High-
way 62
Section 4. All ordinances or -%parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed, and it appearing that there are many structures proposed to be erected
within the limits set forth in Section 1,2 and 3 of this ordinance which are considered
as commercial structures as distinguished from residential structures, and that such
structures should be con structed in -accordance with.regulations precribed for buildings
er>ed in the first fire zone, and that they should not be frame construction as is per-
mitted in the intermediate fire zone, an emergency is•hereby declared to exist, and this
• ordinance shall be in frill force and effect from and after its passage and approval.

There being no further business, alderman Hale moved to adjourn, seconded by
man White, which was passed.unanimously by the Council, and the Mayor declared the
