The meeting was called to order by the Mayor, and the roll being called, here were: Present: G.T.Sanders, ➢Iayor in the chair,J.W.McGehee, City Clerk, Price ickson, City Attorney, and the followung named aldermen: Adkisson, Harlan, Bohe, Williai hitfield, White and Graye and also : Absent: aldermam Hale, who had notice of the meet - lig. The Mayor stated that consideration should be directed by said Council to he question of the passage and adoption of a resolution accepting a bid for bonds to be ssued by the City of Fayetteville,. Arkansas, for the purpose of constructing additions o and remodeling the City Hospital, and purchasing fire .fighting apparatus and for pur-' teasing a site for and constructing buildings for the housing of fire Righting apparatus. After discussion by said Council.. alderman Bohe intr6duced in writing and ead a resolution for that purpose, entitled; "-A Resolution Accepting a Bid for Bonds to e Issued by the City of Fayetteville,.Arkansas, for the Purpose of Constructing Addition o and Remodeling the City Hospital, and Purchasing Fire Fighting Apparatus and for Pur- hasing a Site For and Constructing Buildings For the Housing of Fire Fighting Apparatus; nd moved that the same be adopted. The motion was seconded by Alderman Gray, and after ue consideration thereof by said Council, the question was put by the Mayorhn the adop- ion of said motion and the passage of said resolution., -and the roll being called the ollowing voted: Aye: Adkisson, Harlan, Bohe, 71illi.a.ms, Whibfield, White and Gray. And he following voted Nay: None. Absent and not voting Hale. Whereupon, the Mayor declared said motion duly adopted and said resolution my passed, and signed his approval to said resolution, same attested by the City Clerk, nd impressed witjg the seal of the City. WHEREAS, after due advertisement for the time and in the manner required b aw, duly published. in a newspaper having a bona fide circulation in the City of Fayette rkansas, ?125,000 of 22'% bonds of the said City, to be issued for the purpose of constr dditions to and remodeling the City Hospital, and purchasing fire fighting apparatus an or purchasing a site for and'constructing buildings for the housing of .fire fighting aF atus, were offered for sale at public auct;on at the Council Chamber, City Administrati Building, at 8: o'clock, P.M. on the 12th dayofAugust,,1947, and air said sale.CITY ATIONAL BANK of Fort Smith, Arkansas, bid for said bonds the, price of 104 cents,on the .ollar and accrued interest to date of delivery, which the Council finds was the best bi nd should be accepted; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AYETTEVILLE, PRKANSAS& SECTION I. That said bid of CITY ITATIOITAL BANK of Fort Smith, Arkansas �e accepted and that the Mayor and City Clerk be, and are hereby authorized to execute m behalf of the City the following contract for the sale of said bonds: rr ' For your issue of $125,000 of 2F Fire and Hospital Bonds, City Natiobal Ban of Fort Smith, Arkansas ,.o"ffers 104 cents on the dollar's -on the terms set forth in your Ordinance in connectuon therewith and your notice of sale.
