ayetteville City Council met in regular session; Monday, February 17th, 1947.
resent: G.T.Sanders Mayor, Gitg-Clerk J.W.McGehee, City Attorney Price Dickson , City Engineer
.T.Browri, Fire Chief Henry George, and aldermen; Bronson, Gregory, White, Stubblefield,
illiams, Bohe, Adkisson and Hale.
Minutes of the regular meeting of Februagyl3rd, and adjourned meeting of February 10th,
were read and approved. •
The following bills were presented after their approval by alderman Williams, chairman i
the auditing committee:

Alderman Stubblefield made a motion that the bills be allowed as approved, seconded by
alderman Bronson, which.was,regularly passed by the Council.

Mr.Lollar to work out the details with reference to streets and allies, this motion was
seconded by alderman Bronson, and was passed unanimously by the Council. -

the Esplanade on Arkansas Avenue, this motion was seconded by alderman White, and was

Alderman Hale made a motion that the Council go on record as favoring the re-

moval of the Esplanade from•Arkansas Avenue, and that the matter be referred to the Stre

Committee, to see if any thing can be worked out with the University Authorities toward

the accomplishment of said removal, this motion was seconded by alderman Bronson, and wa
splanadepassed unanimously by the Council.
There being no further business, alderman Adkisson moved to adjourn, seconde
iderman Bronson, which was duly passed by the Council•, and the Mayor declared the Counc
Jjourned.
