Fayetteville City Council met in regular session, Monday;=February 3, 1947.
Regular It was noted that the Mayor"would not be present, om account.of having been in
meeting
postponed a car accident on the 30th of January.
Present • J.W.McGehee, City Clerk, aldermen Stubblefield, Bronson and Williams.
After waiting till 8 O'Clock and no quorum appearing, alderman Stubblefield made a me w�_
tion that the Council adjourn till 7:30, Monday, February 10, this motion was seconded
by alderman Bronson,and-was Ras sed unanimously by the Council, and the Cler#. declared
the Council adjourned till Mdy February the 10th, 1947.

Alderman White made a motion that the bills be allowed as approved, seconded by alderma:
Bronson, which was regularly passed by the Council.
Masonic Several members of the new Masonic Lodge appeared before the Council, and presented
Lodges a proposition to buy or lease the East=half of the 3rd floor of the City Administration
want to
building, also a committee from Washington Lodge No 1, were present, and requested the
lease Council to postpone action on the proposition till they could prepare a proposition to
qu rterspresent to the Council, either to rent or lease the same; after discussion, alderman
Bronson made'a motion that the Council postpone action on the proposition till next reg
filar meeting, February 17th, this motion was seconded by alderman Haloes and was passed
unanimously by the Council.
Alderman Stubblefineld, chairman of the Water Committee, stated that the Water
Mehlburger Committee had voted to recommend that Max Mehlburger of Little Rock and Ft.Smith, be
to make employed to make a survey of the potential water supply of Fayetteville, at a cost of
survey for not less than $1,000, nor more than $2,000, after discussion ,alderman Hale made a mo -
Water tion that the recommendation of the Water Committed be approved, this motion was second
Plant ed by alderman White, and was passed unanimously bg the Council.
Alderman Gregory made a motion that Price Dickson be employed as City Attorney
Price effective from February lst,till the officers are installed after the General election
Dickson in April, this motion was seconded by aldermam Hale, and was passed unanimously by the

There being no further business, alderman Bronson moved to adjourn, seconded
by alderman Williams, which was duly passed by the Council, and t1le Mayor declared the
