And on roll call by the Clerk the following.vote was'recorded; AYES: White, Stubblefield, Williams and Adkisson. NAYS: Gregory, Bohe-and Hale: Absent and not voting Bronson. And the Mayor declared the vote to be in the affirmative, as there were 4 AYES, and 3 Nays. The Mayor then put the question " SHALL PERCY L.SHAVER AND J.K.FARRAR� BE GRANTED A CERTIFICATE OF PUBLIC CONVENIENCE AND'NECESSITY TO OPERATE A CAB LINE, UNSER THE FIRM NAME CF RAZCR BACK CAB COMPANY"?;" -and on roll call by the Clerk, the following vote was recorded; AYES: White,.Stizbb3efield.,_Williams-, Adkisson and Hale. NAYS: Gregory and Bohe.. Absent and not voting:.'Bronson. AND THe Mayor declared the Certmficate granted as there were 5 Ayes, and 2 Nays. The Mayor then put the question."..Shall-Howard 6ergeant be granted a CERTIF dCATE OF PUBLIC CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY, -to operate a cab line, under the firm name of CHECKERED CAB COMPANY"?, and on roll call by the -Clerk, the following vote was recorded; AYES: White, Stubblefield, Williame,Bohe and HaleO.NAYS: Gregory,and Adkisson. Absent and not voting: Bronson. And the Mayor declaredthe.Certificate granted, as there were 5 AYES, and 2 Nays. and members of the Alderman White made a motion that the City Attorney treet committee be instructed to prepare'an ordiriance to submit to the Council at the ext meeting, dividing the City into zones,-and'fixing cab rates by zones, this motion as seconded by alderman Williams, and was passed unanimously by thre Council. Alderman Hale made a"motion"that a traffic ligth be placed at School and pring Streeta, and that one of the lights be held in reserve, this'motion was seconded 1p y alderman Stubblefield, and was passed unanimously by the Council. Withreference to an expense acct that had been turned in for delegates the Firemen'S convention at Pine bluff, alderman Williams made a motion that the City y all the expenses for two members, as authorized by the Council on Octbber 14tm, and at they pay for the registration.fees of.the-two extra.members, amounting to -$4.00, xf is motion was seconded by.alderman Stubblefield, and was passed unanimously by the uno il.
