1 6erman Gregory made a motion that the bills be.allowed as approved, seconded by alderman
�kisson, which was regularly passed by the Council.

Cab - onvenience and Necessity, to opoerate a taxi cab company under the firm name of tniversi4y
,s ab Company, also, the applicatip of Howard Sergeant for a certificate of Public Convenience
,fused ind Necessity; to operate a Cab Company, under the firm name of Checkered Cab Compamy
name up for hearing before the.Council, and after hearing the attorneys for the applican s
present their claims, and the attorneYs for the response to the Applications, reprasentii
the Yellow Cab Company, the O.K.Taxi `ab Company and the University City Bus Lines, Inc.I

oom, and after discussion, alderman Hale made a motion that the application of Percy L.
haver and Geo. P,6ox for a certificate of Public Convenience and Plecessity be refused,
,his motion was seconded by alderman Gregory, and on roll call by the Clerk, the fallowing
and Ap e was recoorded; Ayes Bronson, dregory, Williams, Belies and Hale. Nays: 11hite, Stubblefield
: And the Mayor declared the Application denied, as there were 5 Ayes and 3 Nays.
Alderman White made a motion that the application of Howard Sergeant for
�ertificate.o£•Public Comvenience s.nd Necessity be refused, this motion was seconded by
ilderman.Williams, and on roll call by the Clerk, the following vote was recorded; Ayes:
Bronson, Gregory,,White, Stubblefield., Williams, Belies Adkisson and Hale& and the mayor
eclared the application denied, as there 7aere 8 Ayes, and no Nays.
Mr.'Natts, representing the State Board of Health, appeared before the
quest 'ouncil, and1claimed•there was some milk being delivered in the City of Fayetteville, that
k ias not up to the standard required by the Board of Health, after discussion, alderman Haile
ade a motion that the City Health Officer be instructed to request the'State Board of Health
pect3onto make inspections of all the -Milk Plants and dairies delivering milk ih•the City of Fayz,
tteville, and"see that they are all brought.up to the required standard, this motion was
econded by•alderman Stubblefield, and was passed unanimously by the Council.
Alderman Williams made a motion that the sum of 650.00 be donated to the
0.00 ommunity Chest from the Ueneral Fund, this motion was seconded by alderman Bronson, and
d nated as passed unanimously by..the Council.

ri The Mayor presented the proposition of the ganitation Department needing
o buy nother truck, and stated that he had in mind a 1941A -Ton Dodge Truck that could be boug t
ruck or around $800.00, after discussion alderman Adkisson made a motion that the Mayor be a -
or San- thorized to buy this truck, if found satisfactory, after trying it out, this motion was
opt seconded by alderman $ohe, and was passed unanimously by. the Council.

by alderman Adkisson, which was duly passed by.the Council, and the Mayor declared the
Council adjourned.
