Alderman Gregory brought up the question again of extd ing the 'Nater Lin Water own South-71nHighway to the Airport, alderman Adkisson made a motion that the matter be ine referred to the Water Committee for further investigation, and report back to the Counci rgferred this motion was seconded by alderman Bronson, and was passed unanimously by the Council. to Water Com: The question of an increase in salaries and wages of most of the employe Police & pf the City in order to help take care of the increase of all living exienses, came up Firemen for discussion, and alderman Williams made a motion that an increse of x$15.00 per month $1.00 1pe granted the 4 drivers at the Fire station and each member of the Police Department, ilerease ( Including: Chief -Patrolmen & Desk Patrolmen), effective September 1st, 1946, this moti gas seconded by alderman Bohe, and was passed unanimously by the Council. Sand &St. Alderman Stubblefield made a motion that all eilployees of the Street and em�loyees anitary Departments, now being paid on weekly basis, be given an increase of $3.00 per $3.00 per Vaeek, this motion was seconded '9y alderman Whites and was passed unanimously by the Coun wl il; rfs vt"4e Sr PrIgc.
