Firs The Clerkjthe Ordinance in its entirety, alderman Gregory made a motion that he rules be suspended and the Ordinance placed on its second. reading, this motion was econded by alderman Whitey and was passed unanimously by the Council. The Clerk then read the Ordinance the second time, and after discussion, alder - :ale made a motion that the rules be further suspended and the•Ordinance placed on its hird and final reading, this motion was seconded by alderman Bronson, and was passed nanimously by the Council. , The Clerk then read then read the Ordinance the third and final time. ne Mayor t#en put the question " Shall the Ordinance pass?", and on roll call by the Clerk he following vote was recorded;,Ayes: Bronson, Gregory, White, Stubblefield, Williams, Boh 3kisson and Hale.I(And the Mayor declared the Ordinace passed, as there were 8 Ayes, and o Nays. .4 Nayse.None) ns Alderman Brooh made a motion that the emergency clause be adopted, this mo - ion was seconded by alderman Stubblefield, and on roll.cell by the Clerk, the following ote was recorded; Ayes: Bronson, Gregory, Whitey Stubblefield, Williams, Bohe, Adkisson a_ nd Hale. Nays: None. And the Mayor declared the eraergency clause adopted, as there '.Pier� Ayes, and no Nays. ORDINANCE N0. 902 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE NORTHEAST QUARTER OF THE SOUTHWEST QUARTER OF SECTION TEN, TOWNSHIP SIXTEEN NORTH, RANGE THIRTY WEST, AS PART OF THE CITY OF FA`IETTEVILT23 ASSIGNING THE TERRITORY ACCEPTED TO WARDS, IN THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS AND FOP. OT1iER PURPOSES. WHEREAS the County Court of Washington County, Arkansas entered an order on July 16, 1946, annexing the Norteast Quarter of the Soi;thwest Quarter of Section Ten (10), Township Sixteen (16) North, Range Thirty (30) gest, as part and to the the CiVy of Fayetteville, Arkansas, and WHEREAS more than thirty days has expired from the date of the order of the County Court and no app4s have been taken from said order and the County Clerk of Washington County, Arkansas, has certified said proceedings to the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas as provided by law. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Fayette- ville, Arkansas: SECTION_1. That the Northeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section Ten, Township Sixteen North, Range Thirty West, be and the same is hereby accepted as a part of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas. SEDT50N 11. The above described. lands are hereby assigned to and made a part of Ward Three of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas. SECTION 111. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed and it appearing'that certain municipal activities are necessary for t': the preservation of the public health, peace, and safety, both of the people of the Cit of Fayetteville and of the residents of the territory herein annexed; an emergency is hereby declared to -exist and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passe and approval. Passed and approved this 19th day of August, 1946. After waiting till 830 O'Clock, and no quorum being present, alderman Williams ade a motion that the Council adjourn trill Tuedday Night at 8 O'Clock, this motion was econded by alderman Stubblefield, and was passed unanimously by the Council, and the Ma or eclared the Council adjourned till Tuesday Night at 8 O'Clock, September 3rd, 1946.
