'resent: Maio r G.T.Sanders, City Clerk J.W.McGehee, City Attorney Gao.A.Vaughan, City ;ngineer E.T.Brown, and aldermen;,Bronson, Gregory, White, Stubblefield, Willliams, Bohe dkisson and Hale': ^�lderman Adkisson made a motion that the bills be allowed, as approved, seconded by alder- �nan Williams, Vhich was regularly.passed by the Councils , The Clerk presented -the May -and june reports of Carl Tune as Acting Fire Reports hief and the report of the Police Department for the month of June, alderman Hale made reed & a motion that the reports be received and filed, seconded by alderman Gregory, which was Filed passed unanimously by the Council* Hayden McIlr?y The Clerk presented petitions signed by a number of pro,Pgpty owners in & �Pav ng District'Noa36 and in Curb & Gutter District No.37s asking that Hayden McIlroy and �al Doug. ral C.Douglass be appointed Commissiomers in these Districts, and after discussion, alder - lass man Hale made a motion that Hayden McIlroy and Hal C.Douglass be appointed. Flying Service had proposed a plan for moving some of the operating facilities td the tio!havo large hangar and also, to purchase the 2 residence houses now located on the Airport Authority grounds, and move them across the Highway, west of the Airport to be used for housing of for some Airport employees, alderman Bronson made a motion that the matter be referred to the charges Airport Committee-, with power to act, this motion was seconded by alderman Williams; and it airportwas passed unanimously by the Council; Mayor The Mayor and alderman White made a report on their recent trip to.Ft. to 'North to submit the plans for the Housing Units to be turned over to the City by the sign Federal Housing Authority, and stated that their plans had been rejected by the F.H.A, b Housingthat the Architect and Engineer had completed new plans and specifications to conform contrat to the requirements of the Federal Housing Authority, and alderman Gregory made a motion that the Mayor and Architect be authorized to go to Ft.we ojbth to submit the revised plans to the Federal Housing Authority and that The Mayor be authorized to sign the contract ._ accepting the Housing Project for the City of Fayetteville, this motion was seconded by, alderman Hale, and received the unanimous vote of the Council': ayor & The question of transportation for the Mayor and Architect to Ft.Worth chitect came up fob discussion, and alderman Hale made a motion that they go by Plane, this motiob go by was seconded by alderman Stubblefield, a:hd was passed unanimously by the Council: ane Alderman Stubblefield reported that he had made some investigation as to the cost of a building and equipment to take care of repairs on all the equipment owned by the City, and also reported that he had made some investigation with reference to closing Gregg Street, after discussion, it was decided that the matter rof ic3o34igrr9gg Street be° postponed until a survey could be made. Stop SigrThe question of Stop Signs on West Street at Lafayette, came up for to be �ussion, alderman Williams made a motion that the Stop Signs be changed to have the Stop hanged Signs dnsta3ledt6n LsfsyettepS.treetiappr'oach ngewest Street, this motion was seconded by alderman Stubblefield, and on roll call by the Clerk, the following vote was recorded; Ayes: Bronson, Gregory, White, Stubblefield, Williams, Bohe and Adkisson. Nays: alderman Hale: And the Mayor declared, passed, as there were 7 Ayes, and 1 Nay, Alderman Stublbdefield presentedthe June report of the Water Department, alderman Hale made a motion that the report be received and filed, seconded by alderman (White, which was passed unanimously by the Council* Alderman Bronson intrdduced a Resolution to restrict the number of Liquor Store permits in Fayetteville, and moved its adoption, but the motion was lost for want of a second', A Resolution from the Chamber of Commerce proposing traffic signal^lights hamber be installed and other measures be adopted for traffic safety was read by the C1ePk.
