Dear Sirs:
i
We have been advised by Mayor Sanders that the agreement relative to the divi9-
ion of the City funds between the McIlroy Bank and the'First National Bank, entered into
on April 25th, 1946, and filed with the City Clerk, was not acceptable to your committee.
It is our understanding now that it is agreeable to you that the City funds be
divided, between the.two banks as follows: the First National Bank will continue as active
depository on all funds to January 1st, 1947, except the City Water account which shalll
remain at ),the McIlroy Bank, until January lst, 1.949, and then be transferred to the First
National Bank with all other active accounts. It is agreed that on June lst, 1946, there '.:.
will be a_sufficient amount of funds transferred to the McIlroy Bank to equalize or where-
by they will have one half of the City Funds as an inactive depository* The City Clerk
will furnisheach bank with a statement on the first of'each month showing the balance of
the different accounts and to adjust the total deposits to equalize the same between the
banks to the nearest thousand dollars if there is a diffrence of ten thousand dollars or noj:e
more..
Also, it is agreed that on January 1st, 1947,'ell the active accounts now held
by the First National Bank will be transferred to the McIlroy Bank for a period of two e.A_•s
.years and the First National Bank will then carry one-half of the total City funds on
an inactive basis. I
It would be agreeable to the McIlroy Bank and the First National Bank if the
accounts would be alternated as to active and inactive accounts each two years on the
above basis, beginning January 1st, 1947..
